The Matrix Reloaded
R
Sequels rarely kick ass but this one truly lives up to the first matrix. i.e. if they HAD to do a sequel then this is the best anyone could ever hope for.
3.
The Matrix Revolutions
R
This film was a test: only true Matrix fans love it. It embodies the deeply philosophical theme of the Matrix, which sadly, escapes average members of the audience.
4.
Amelie (Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain)
R
One of, if not the best, French film ever made. It is simple yet more complex than you assume, funny and most of all, leaves you with the tingling feeling you get when you know you've just experienced something wonderful.
5.
Raincoat
Unrated
This movie is absolutely amazing and anyone who has ever had to sit through 3 hours of unrealistic crap inc. sudden exploding synchronised dance sequences will appreciate it twice as much. It's a calm and very realistic view of life from two Devdas-type lovers who never got to be. Not sugar-coated at all, hence why it didn't do so well. Rai and Devgan give it their best and their talent shines through the theatrical settings.
6.
The Fifth Element
PG-13
This film is so addictive. The flying cars, the costume, Gary Oldman, the aliens, the soundtrack, the Diva, Milla Jovovich as Lilu, but above all: the cross-dressings of Chris Tucker!!!
