Phoebe in Wonderland Phoebe in Wonderland PG-13
Firstly, I had no idea what the story was about so I wasn't really thrilled about spending a beautiful day inside watching a film. However, it was a pleasant surprise to get the opportunity to watch such a great movie! The cast is supportive and the acting is brilliant throughout the film. Mainly the little girl who was a great surprise! Because Elle Fanning is amazing in her role and I must say it was one of the best performances I have ever seen by a child on the screen who's an amazing little actress and who really captures the spirit of Phoebe beautifully, and even Felicity Hoffman and Bill Pullman do an excellent job portraying the conflicted parents, trying to understand their young daughter. Thanks to the filmmakers because the movie not only was thoroughly entertained, but it made my day even better!
Vicky Cristina Barcelona Vicky Cristina Barcelona PG-13
"Life is the ultimate work of art." And what an interesting tagline, isn't it?! This film is simply brilliant, it is simple but brilliant! The plot focuses on two American college friends, polar opposites on the subject of love, as they vacation in Barcelona for the summer. Arriving at their destiny, they met Juan (played by Bardem) and after some time the girls also met Penelope Cruz as the passionate Maria. Both are great artists whose paintings are deep as their personalities. Besides interesting conversational dialog and narrating monologue, Woody Allen's script include such originality as Juan's father not wanting to publish his beautiful poetry in attempts to get back at the world. When Vicky finally asks why, Juan becomes philosophical. There are lots to think about, to feel and to digest! This motion picture is a brilliant one!
