| Das Leben der Anderen (The Lives of Others) - R |
Long time since I have seen such an excellent, brilliant acting. The cinematography is geniously made and the whole atmosphere in this great film makes it outstanding!!
SEE IT!!! |

| Inglourious Basterds - R | The cinematography, the colour and lightning, the dialogue, the subtitles and the acting specially by Christoph Waltz and Melanie Laurent makes it an artistically diffrent film. But it was also sometimes boring, the story lost focus several times. I have been waiting long for a new Tarantino film but i got mixed feelings about this one. | November 15, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Kite Runner - PG-13 | Very well made story from the book with the same name. | November 12, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Burning Plain - R | Guillermo Arriaga and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu previous four films Amores Perros, 21 Grams, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, and Babel is all my big favorites. This is Guillermo Arriaga´s work by himself and a very sucsessfull one. Of course Charlize is doing a great job (as always) but also Jennifer Lawrence and all the rest. I really liked this one!! | October 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Shrink - R | Pot! If it only was THAT Kevin is addicted to in real life, then NO PROBLEM!! So, of course he delivers a good performance in this slow but likeable film about life for celebreties in LA. What a hard life...Maybe they all need to find out what REAL suffering is. They should all go to India´s slum areas to live for a while to get another perspective of life..... | October 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| My Sister's Keeper - PG-13 | Compelling and realistic story about life, dying, love and struggle. | October 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Yards - R | A raw and strong story about betrayal and corruption. Excellent performances by all the actors. | October 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Man Som Hatar Kvinnor (Millenium: Part 1 - Men Who Hate Women) (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) - Unrated |
I am IMPRESSED!!! I love the books and the film was really following the story in a realistic and correct way. Michael Nyqvist is one of my Swedish favorite actors and he is more brilliant as ever. This is the first time I see Noomi Rapace and she is AMAZING!!! It must have been very difficult to play a such a diificult and complex personality as Lisbet Salander but she does it in a believeable and authentic way. (It is said that Lisbet probably has Aspergers syndrom)
The film also includes SOO many of our best Swedish actors, which are very good (as always) so how can this film not be a success!!! |

| Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan - R | Don't know if I will put 3 or 4 stars??!! Some parts were VERY funny, clever and hilarious. But some were just cheap bathroom humour and laughs at the expense of others. Maybe I would have liked it more if I didn't see Bruno first (which I liked MUCH more), I don't know... | August 20, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Brüno (Bruno) - R | Competely crazy and SOOOO funny! I laughed until my stomach coulden't take it anymore. Bruno is irresitable, shocking,shameless and a completely out of control genius...He knows exactly where the corpses are buried and digs them up in a most unexpected way. | August 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Revolutionary Road - R | Winslet and DiCaprio is doing it again. What a chemistry together and what great performances. But then, this film is not exactly an uplifting film. It´s a dark film about life and lost dreams. | August 16, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Coraline - PG | August 15, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Crossing Over - R | Very similar to Babel and Crash which both was better. But maybe I can't understand the theme "The American dream", since I'm only Swedish living in Greece..... | August 13, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Wonder Boys - R | Based on a book and as always I like the book better then the film. But good acting, specially by Frances McDormand (she is ALWAYS good), Toby Maguire does a very good performance and Michael Douglas is good. | August 13, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Milk - R |
Sean Penn did it again! I don't think there is anyone who can act like him. I thought I saw his best performance in "I am Sam" but this takes the price!! WOW!!!
His portrait of the GREAT man Harvey Milk is the best I"ve ever seen. |

| You Kill Me - R | A black and romantic comedy with GREAT acting by Kinglsey as usual, but the best in this is Tea Leoni. Her face epressions,comic timing and interplay with Kinglsey as she learns his past as a hitman is hilarious. See this charming film and you will be left with a smile on your lips... | July 28, 2009 | N/A | |||

| Nothing But the Truth - R | I am impressed! Matt Dillon, Kate Beckinsale, Angela Basset and Alan Alda were SOO good in this political thriller based on a true story. SEE IT! | July 3, 2009 | N/A |
