Wuthering Heights - Unrated This is a brilliant adaptaion of Emily Bronte's classic tale. Both Charlotte Riley and Tom Hardy are perfect in their roles and have great chemistry on screen together. This adaptation is also well directed and done so well that it creates the dark, gothic undertone for which the novel is based around. December 12, 2009

Bronson - R One of the forgotton gems of 2009! An exceptional performance from Tom Hardy, who is vast becoming one of my favourite actors and of couse is seriously good looking too.

Bronson is not quite like what other say. The character doesn't need explaination for his actions because as he says"I'm going to make a name for myself! On top of that the character struggles to make a living so that he has no choice but to commit a crime, get into prison and make a name for himself there. This is because there are just no opportuities for him on the outside, which is something a lot of reviews have neglected to look into. Bronson is also well directed with some excellent tracking shots depicting Bronson's paths to fame in prison. The lighting in this film is also perfect for pin-pointing the violence that ensues in prison, which is of couse highlighted by the brilliant facial expressions of Tom Hardy.

What also really brings the film to light for me is the soundtrack, which really helps establish the backdrop to the film. One which is also still stuck in my head now.

One of 2009's best films for me and one which I would hope gets Tom Hardy a BAFTA nomination at the BAFTAS in 2010-which is so deserves I promise you.

Go see this now and marvel in the greatness of Tom Hardy!
