A 5-star classic. The perfect movie about an underdog from the wrong side of the tracks who takes a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and turns it into the American Dream. The acting was terrific, the writing was eloquent, it was dramatic yet with signature touches of humor, and it was all perfectly cast. Although Burgess Meredith initially headed up the cast as the biggest name, and probably helped initally sell the movie, the rest of the cast - especially Sylvester Stallone - proved themselves in the same league.
