Ghosts of the Abyss - PG documentary shot for imax, james cameron has been away for 12 years after titanic became the most successful film of all time and he himself was king of the world at oscars, but it wasent time thinking about avatar or polishing his oscars, hes been deep under the sea revisiting the wreckage of titanic, and here we see himand fellow friend and actor in his films bill paxton visit the wreck, with technologi to go inside, a fasinating look at wreckage, at a slimm 1 hour, but fits a lot in, and a interesting concept, superinposing staged scenes over filmed scenes to show ship in glory days next to wreckage today, always fasinating to watch, and fun to see at first a panick stricken paxton getting prepared for first dive, soalso a must for fans of his, the doc doesent add anything new to history of ship, but does add fasinating glimpses of ship 90 years on. Intolerable Cruelty - PG-13 this coens misfire is actually better than most romantic comedys out there, zeta jones is stunning if not great in her role, and clooney showing he really is at home with the coens, when watching this you may think it doesent seem like a coen brothers film, but it soon kicks into one, December 9, 2009

Paranormal Activity - R great premise, andanother one ofthose camcorder shot films, somegreat moments and scares, andalready i think a iconic shot, that of the door open, with them in bed sleeping next to it, thisis where most action takes place, and it is eery, well thought off, andexecuted in its aproach, creepy moments throughout, with forces unseen, butalso using great use of minimul props, a great use of location, the house in question. and two leads being genuin, realistic and non hollywood. the score is used well, anda big part to sucess. this film creeped me out, no moreso, than when i got home and in my bedroom, this is a great example of a horror, done very well December 8, 2009

The Box - PG-13 from richard kelly he of donnie darko, comes another twisted tale.which is much more than the title suggests, taking in the 70s setting, which looks great, and a family being given a choice, and the effects this desision has on the when a strange man offers a couple 1 million dollers to push a button, andsomewhere someone will die, events from here turn, the couple must look into themselves for a desision. richard kelly directs brillantly, a great menaceing score helps a lot, and mardsen and diaz are exellent. not as mindbending as darko, but it certainly has its moments and not knowing where we are heading certainly helps, taking in nasa conspiracys, a vital part of story, and using the 70s just like he did using 80s for darko, forget southland tales, kelly is back December 8, 2009

17 Again - PG-13 not seen any high school musical, and dont think i ever will, but in this, zac efron, shows a lot of charisma, the plot devices are totally bollocks of course, but theres good moments to be had, its silly and dumb, but afron, and of course mathew pery as the older version, are good to watch, cheesy fun all round December 5, 2009

Sasori - Unrated a young women is forced to kill to save life of her love, andgoes to prison, where brutality is everywhere, a twist of fate brings her back to outside world, and vengence is on the cards, some stylish moments, swordplay and kick ass action, makes this watchable, thestory is a little week, but theres enough moments that asian cinema knows how to handle to make it watchable December 5, 2009
