PG-13
For a normal movie, I probably wouldn't have rated it so high based solely on the aggrevating undertones of a film that would have been better without them. However, this is no normal film. This was a massive film that was well acted, well paced, and well directed, despite its writing flaws. The CGI looks fantastic, and the score is riveting. It doesn't quite live up to the hype it recieved, but it's still very entertaining.
Invictus
PG-13
Wonderfully acted by the whole cast. Freeman shines, as usual; and Damon actually does well in what was probably a challenging role for him. Eastwood delivers an impressive, though unconventional film, that may be a little talky, but it's nonetheless inspirational. It really shows what transformational leadership can do when done right - something [a prominant politician] has yet to learn.

Star Trek

Being a Star Wars man, and having seen the prior installments in the franchise, I obviously had reservations about seeing it. However, I was completely blown away. The entire film was phenomonal, an whirlwind of action, intrigue, and sheer awsomeness. It is easily the best Trek film, and the most exhilerating movie experience since 'The Dark Knight'. The entire cast, under the brilliant direction of Abrams, delivers spot-on performances, and the fast-paced story lacks nothing substanatively. It's brilliant from the get-go, and will even please non-Trekies like myself.

Classic Eastwood. Extremely well done, superbly acted; this movie excels on nearly every level. Some might take offense to Eastwood's seemingly racist and blunt character, but judging his character by these two characteristics is like saying an onion has only two layers. Plus, I laughed more at the perfectly placed humor in this film than I have at many of the comedies rolling out these days.
