Slave to Christ, trying hard to be an obedient follower of His teachings, always falling short of the faith and obedience that I owe to God, but thankful that He is there with me and His love will never lessen towards me. Romans 8:39 says that no height no depth, or anything else in all creation, will be able to separate any of us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. That comfort is beyond words. I'm married to my beautiful wife Kristin who works in JD Williams library. I graduated a few years ago with an art degree, but now I'm back as a journalism student working as a graphic designer for the DM. I'm also the webmaster for Soma Worship. Everything happens according to God's will. The Bible is His inspired word and our only infallible rule for faith and practice. Apostle's Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth, And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into Hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. AMEN. |

Heart of Dixie
PG
Not the best movie I've seen, but it was ok. I spent most of the time looking at the locations. The greater chunk of the movie was shot in Oxford, MS and The University of Mississippi campus. Being an Oxford resident, it was fun knowing the locations. As far as the movie goes, I think it was well told in the spirit of 80s movies. The acting was fair, but the accents were awful. It wasn't an unbearable movie to see, but it could have used a little more character development and closure at the end.
Death at a Funeral
R
Talk about everything going wrong at a funeral. This is one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while.
The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle)
PG-13
The movie is enjoyable. There was a good mix of comedy and action, but I felt it didn't have much of a plot. I kept thinking I was missing more purpose to the situations. There is a great scene in the middle of the movie involving several baboons which became the best scene of the movie. Other than that, it was a bunch of fight scenes linked together with a small amount of story. I probably won't watch it again, but I enjoyed it the first time through.
Underworld: Evolution
R
I didn't think the story was as well written as the original, but it does have a lot more fighting. Seems that's what most of the movie is. Very little character development, but we do find out about Michael's power. It seems a little rushed to me. It needed to be a little longer and offer more story than just battle after battle. Overall, it was good but the story was lacking a little. The end sets up for another movie, but there hasn't been any talk of making any more. Would be nice to have the ending cleared up. If you like the first one, you'll probably like this one as it picks up where the first one left off. If you haven't seen the first one, you need to see it before you watch this one.
Big Night
R
I thought it was enjoyable, but the ending didn't set right for me. It kind of left me wondering about if that big night party had any sort of benefit for the brothers. Secondo should have clocked Pascal for what he did. Cristiano kinda got a little screwed too.
Raising Arizona
PG-13
It wasn't my favorite of the Coen movies. It seemed a little slap stick for me. The supporting cast seemed to carry the movie.

The Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers
PG-13
Fantastic. I wish the original version hadn't cut so many scenes out of it. See the extended edition if you can.
