Despite the controversy about the amount of fake blood spilled in this movie, I would say that Mel Gibson had done a very good job. It is a good story about a man fighting adversity that happen to be living in the jungle before the Spaniards conquer America; however, it could had happen anywhere, during the II World War, The Gulf War or even in the poor ghettos of North America. Credit to Mel and his storytelling gift.
I just saw this powerful movie about the live of the African dictator Idi Amin. Forest Whitaker was amazing and I must agree that this was an Oscar winning performance. A "must see" movie.
This is an easy movie with great cast, particularly Kate Winslet who manages to bring to the character the characteristic Britishness. If you see it you will not be disappointed; these guys deliver!
I really like Jack Black I think he is the funniest guy in Hollywood right now, but this film was not great if you compared it with his great movie School of Rock. A weak script and to muck cursing and only his comedy talent has saved this film.
This is one of the best movies that I've seen recently. Will Ferrell steps out of his comic slot with this excellent performance as a dull guy immersed in a boring life until he finds Maggie Gyllenhaal who as always excels. Praises for the screenwriter that has done a magnifecent job
