1
The Silence of the Lambs (1991,  R)
The Silence of the Lambs
It's easily one of the most thriller and brilliantly crafted film of all times.
Lecter is one of a kind and an unforgettable character. Hopkins sheer brilliance has made this character AFI's #1 villian. There's something about him that gets to you. May be it's the way he stares or doesn't blink his eyes or maybe the calmness and politeness in his tone. It gave me chills when he delivered the famous line " A census taker once tried to test, I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti".

Seven (Se7en) (1995,  R)
Seven (Se7en)
As far as thrillers are concerned this is one of the best well-written and cerebral kinds. Although one gets to see the killer for only a short time, one still gets a depp impression of him throughout the film. John Due left an everlasting impact on me. Spacey has shown once again how clever and powerful his acting skills are. Due is certainly one of the best examples of serial killers in Hollywood and it's the ending that made him a 'legend'.
14
Pulp Fiction (1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
This is work of a genius!
A mix of Humour and Violence!
Tarantino knows what pure entertainment is all about!
15
12 Angry Men (1997,  PG-13)
12 Angry Men
It's undoubtedly one of the finest works of cinema directed my Sidney Lumet. The actors portray the characters that they depict so wonderfully with such brilliance that one tends to get totally engrossed in the film and script. The script should be appreciated for it's simplicity- 12 Jurors and just one room. The audience gets tense and sweats in suspense as the final verdict comes closer. And also a great work of camera is done by Boris Kauffman where he makes the screen less wide as the end approaches that the viewer too gets the feel of the tension and the claustrophobia. It's intriguing to know how 12 different people come together and use their varied experiences to come to their final verdict.
16
Garden State (2004,  R)
Garden State
It makes up for all the 'low-on-quality' feel good movies I hate. This has Quality and a nice feel good factor. I loved the way these two people meet and get together especially the girl, Sam. I think Sam is a kind of a girl, I would love to fall in love with. It's the sweetness in her that attracts me more then any character (Romantic) I've come across.
17
Memento (2000,  R)
18

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan
Warning:You may laugh you a** out! This movie is hilarious. It is exacly the opposite of a sophisticated film and if you dont appreciate good comedy then it's a waste.
