I saw it last night and I LOVED this movie!
They're short histories but so deeply and with amazing directors and actors
Paris, Je Ta'aime:You have to see it many times....
Paris: You have to come back many times...
Please, try to see this movie. It's amazing the way how she told us about her history. It's not for children but there's a special child inside. Delicate and sensitive! I fell in love with Marjane. Je suis son disciple! Now I'll buy the book. I really recommend it!
The film is a masterpiece. I had previously seen My Blueberry Nights. The director (Kar Wai Wong )is excellent. He is extremely patient and understanding with the audience when repeated phrases and scenes as he tried to explain better. And in this game going and coming, mixing reality and fiction, the movie walks in our mind. Stories of love, and lovers, showing and repeating errors and successes. I saw me inside the movie a few times, and perhaps this happens with everyone who has ever loved someone ... rsrs, sorry for that. But it is the truth and despite the theme the movie it is not slushy. The soundtrack is amazing. (I loved when I listened "Perfidia").
Another Kieslowski movie with the same freshness beauty and talented actress Irène Jacob. Two excellent reasons to see it. She plays Veronika (Poland) and Veronique (Paris). There is so much mystery about life, soul, possible connections but totally incomprehensible. We can?t talk so much about the movie cause don?t miss the unique history there is inside. But I can say is one of the most intriguing and beautiful I have ever seen. I really recommend it.
This is one of the best animations already made in recent years. Extremely well done.
After a few minutes you forget that it is an animation and you begin to see people, not drawings. There are so many details. You can see the expressions of the face, the rain falling on the outside through the glass of the window, the sound of the paws dogs in the puddles of water, the soldier's leg shaking because he is nervous, and at the end the women screaming entering in the camp and realizing the horror, it made my heart beat so fast .... You can listen the music (in the middle of the film within the nightclub) "this is not a love song", yes, but is a great animation and an amazing movie.
Congratulations to Ari remember me the horror, in 1982, and to show the people was born after that date what happened in Sabra and Shatila.
Trois couleurs: Bleu (1993) Director: Krzysztof Kieslowski This is the first film of a trilogy that the colors France?s flag, to tell the stories of tragedies experienced by the characters. This is my favorite - Blue. Perhaps also because of the color, because of Juliette Binoche, because of the music, I like everything inside this movie. My favorite scene? Julie / Juliette Binoche with a cup of coffee dipping the tablet sugar in it is simply wonderful.
A Classical movie to learn something about Virginia Woolf. Another reasons cause I liked it are Nicole Kidman's performance with my another favorite actress Mery Streep. It's enough for me!
The film is inspired by the true story of Mirco Mencacci, one of the most gifted Italian sound editors working today, who happens to be blind. One of the most beautiful films that I ever saw in the cinema. The actors children are amazing. Unhappily didn`t have as many audience and nor enough spreading and advertising . I wish and hope that when to arrive in dvd reaches the importance that it deserves. Don`t lose the chance to see it and don`t forget to increase the sound!
I loved it! The three actresses are really great. Nora Jones was a nice surprise for me. You must have to see it. The director did a very good movie. Oh, the soundtrack is amazing.
I saw it a long time ago and saw it again now. And I still have the same opinion. It must be seen. It has vampires, romance, gratitude, passion. It isn't a film only of horror and maybe you should close your eyes only one or two times :). I know there is a lot of bloody, but they're vampires, ok?
If anything I said convinced you, see it at least because of David Bowie, Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve (she is beautiful and stunning with a perfect interpretation as always).
This film is a fable of love. Love is impossible to be done but they never lost hope. Two beings trying to find but with the sun and moon blocking the meeting. See because of the magic that is inside of this movie. The photography is amazing for 1995.
This is a funny film and sometimes is very funny. Maybe the Frenchman and taxi drivers will dont like because the `humor is very sarcastic and impious. But who already was tourist in Paris knows what I am saying. The presence of Julie Delpy as actress and director is a pleasant surprise. The film becomes monotonous sometimes because long dialogues. But you must to see it until the end that is amazing?.even if you are Frenchman!
Six great actors made this a great movie, with characters so deeply, nice to watch it! I can"t forget the song "La Rose" (French adaption of Carla Bruni) so beautiful sung for Gèraldine Pailhas. Another pleasure is to see Catherine Deneuve beautiful as always.
In fact I saw it today.
It's just an advice: if you like philosophy you have to see it!
It's a very deeply movie, about philosophy, religion and love. The actors are very good and the camera is another carachter. Yes, because the camera walks, dance, and follows each movement of the personages, theirs eyes, hands. It shows a Paris that we don?t know and showed to me a little about a religion that I also don?t know so good. I liked it a lot!
I watched this movie just now. And I liked a lot despite being very heavy and sad. But it is through the three stories in three different countries that we can better understand how a disease can spread so quickly. On one side there is the irresponsibility of those who propagate the disease and the other side there are people who give their lives to change the sad reality. This is a movie to review and to have good surprises because the photography is so beautiful.
One of the movies that most moved me.. Wim Wenders shows us the view of angels ... It?s so good to feel them so close. This is the second one. The first ?Wings of Desire? should be seen:
This is the third and final movie of the Kieslowski trilogy. Red = fraternity. You should see at least because of the freshness beauty and talented actress Irène Jacob, and the experienced actor Jean-Louis Trintignant. I loved the history cause it has many interpretations. Red demands more than one viewing only.
This was perhaps the first science fiction film that I really loved and time to time I see it again. Special attention to the soundtrack of Vangelis and performances of Harrison Ford and Sean Young
So many colors, close-ups! The camera moves so fast that you can't relax. But it's a good sensation (it's not a thriller, ok?). I'm not an expert in cinema but I never saw a way to shoot like that. And I liked a lot! I love to hear Mexican people! :)
(Tammy Blanchard/Nina reminds me Hilary Swank, and the Eduardo Verastegui/José's blue eyes say everything.)
Do you want more? Soundtrack with Nina Simone, Joey Ryan and Rachel Yamagata!
Oh God, the scenes on the beach and the end are so beautiful!
I just absolutely loved Bella!
I really recommend it!
Yes! Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the writers, got it the magic of Star Trek history. Amazing! The cast with great performances, especially Checov/Anton Yelchin. After 20 minutes I was smiling and feeling all the sensations as if I were in space and in the future. And of course if everything is good, is because the director too, J.J. Abrams. The film is the film.
I forgot to say about Winona Ryder, yes, she was there...did you find her? :)
Won numerous awards such as Golden Golbe, Bafta, Cesar, etc, they all deserved. The film shows the story of Juliette. And Kristin Scott Thomas is Juliette, and Kristin Scott Thomas is the movie. This wonderful actress plays all the love and pain that may exist inside a person. All the mystery surrounding her story is reason that holds our attention in this film. Her face without expression, while showing in the same time all the sadness she feels is the pillar that supports the plot. I think, in this case, the director hadn't so much work, only to choose her as the main actress. The song that closes the film is beautiful, unfortunately I didn't find the lyrics (dis, quand revendras-t/Jean Louis Aubert ).
A film about social unrest in a region of Brazil, where the strikes are the main expressions of nonconformity. Leon Hirzman made a great movie, and chose a great cast to match the film: Gianfrancesco Guarnieri and Fernanda Montenegro among others.
Finally I saw American Beauty. And yes I agree with all the good ratings of my friends. The scenes with petals of roses are absolutely amazing. The visual effect is fantastic and unforgettable. Kevin Spacey is great. Director's name: Sam Mendes!
It is the best intelligent fiction I saw after V For Vendetta. The film is a comics with fiction and reality. There are sarcastic criticisms on the many religions that exist. It?s about the lives of four characters who interact in the final. Eva Green is highlighted interpreting a student of art that art is about death. Part of the movie that moved me: ?We get many suicides. I knew someone once. She did what you tried to do last night. She was... successful. She started a chain of events like...dominoes. I'm just saying that it isn't just about your family, your friends, the people you leave behind. It's about the people you haven't met yet.?
With great pleasure that I recommend to you this Brazilian comedy. It shows therapy sessions of the character Mercedes that has a life that doesn't meet even the understanding of the beautiful children and husband. A wonderful interpretation of Lilia Cabral makes this movie great fun.
This film (independent production ) has excellent interpretations and scenes that surprise any viewer. Stories with revolutionaries of the IRA, lovers, a murder, are among the many stories. Forest Withaker with a amazing interpretation and Jaye Davidson paid the rental of DVD. Who saw the movie in cinema made a pact of silence not to spoil the biggest surprise of the film (and of course I will not break this pact now). See it!
21 grams is the weight of the hummingbird, a chocolate bar, but also the weight loss when someone dies. But this is not the central theme of the film. It is about to continue to live in spite of so much pain, despite all the mistakes. Past and future mingle making the film even more interesting. It may seem a simple subject but the direction makes all the difference. The interpretations of the trio Naomi, Sean and Benício complete the recipe for a great movie.
Must-see. Nice to see and hear ... Like a delicious chocolate that we want never to end. Beautiful pictures and wonderful voices. Documentary that walks through the history of Brazilian music with poetry. Artists such as Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, Arnaldo Antunes, Adriana Calcanhotto, Marina Lima, among others, are present and inspired as ever. 86 minutes of pure inspiration in this documentary by Helena Solberg!
The main point is the American prejudice against foreigners after Sept. 11. Foreigners who after a time felt like they were in their own place, the place that they choose to live. But now is: either you're from here or not. The interpretation contained, but touching, of the characters Walter and Mouna, hold your attention. And at the end I felt like my problems are so small .....
What a good surprise...I saw it on TV, and the cast and the plot are really amazing. What are you searching for? Don't waste your time with stupid things. Lesson: don't think about the future cause it's not here, forget the past cause it's gone, so the only choice is the present - it is here now.
A lonely man is a picture of an American hero, trying to resolve situations in your own way, experiencing loneliness, lack of love of family, and full of prejudices about the supposed foreigners in their neighborhood. At first I could almost hate him, but in the end was in love with him. Who? Clint Eastwood playing Walt, who is also the director and if I remember still sings at the end ... The actors who play Sue and Thao interact with a masterful interpretation further increasing the drama of the film. This movie is simple, without sets, great costumes or stars in the cast. It's truly touching and unforgettable. All my admiration and respect and a clao of hands for Clint Eastwood.
Great cast and acting, Catherine Deneuve, Chiara Mastroiani, Emmanuelle Devos and Jean-Paul Roussillon. Don't be afraid cause it has 150 minutes, you should really see it. And if you know anything about the history it isn't a sad movie and it's very funny sometimes. I liked it a lot. So see it!
The music transforming the lives of a people group in a small town. The balance and the music! To feel! Let the feeling take over the body and mind. Let the music take care of being. A cast in perfect harmony that reveals the masterful direction of Kay Pollak. I felt floating in music supported on wings of angels .... It's absolutely wonderful!
Brick Lane is a street in London in a neighborhood of Indians and Muslims. In this scenario the innocent characters are trying to survive. They're suffering from the attack of coup of his own country and the prejudice of the Londoners before and after September 11. The dialogue through letters between the two sisters, one living in London another in India, is extremely touching. Issues to decide: Should I return or not for my country? Where is my country? Where is the best place for me? Excellent interpretations - Tannishtha Chatterjee as the beautiful, sweet and quiet Nazneem and Satish Kaushik as the stupid innocent husband Chanu. I really love Indians movies!
The film centers on Carl Fredricksen a seller balloons at age 78, husband of Ellie. Carl is the sweetest old man, grumpy, smart, crazy, I've seen. The beginning of the movie reminded me of the silent film, without speech, only music and facial expressions. Your fun is guaranteed!
