I really enjoyed this. Of course, it helps if you have an interest in football, and know the background story, but even if you don't, the movie is as much about friendship as it is about the beautiful game.

Amazing performance from Michael Sheen as Brian Clough. He has impressed me in every movie I've seen him in. Props also to Colm Meany who I thought was great as Don Revie. Well worth a watch!

Offbeat indie romance - this won't appeal to everyone, but I truly enjoyed it. The movie, which centers around a mattress salesman and his quest to adopt a Chinese baby, is slow-moving in parts, but laugh out loud funny in others. John Goodman offers comic relief here, while strong performances by Dano and Deschanel make this a lot more enjoyable than it might have been in less experienced hands. Deschanel, is, after all, the queen of kook. I found the characters to be very sweet and endearing, although there are some dark undertones to proceedings. Well worth a watch for fans of quirky indie.

I love the romance of this movie, and can watch it over and over again. In a word, it's beautiful. Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy work well together in what is a special little gem of a movie. I caught it by chance on TV one night many years ago, and waited ten years for the sequel to find out what happened to Jesse & Celine.

This is one of the best movies ever made, and once that I watch at least once a year, and maybe twice, if I have the time. Even though I've seen it dozens of times, the final scene never fails to make me cry.

This is a wonderful coming-of age tale, with amazing performances by all the cast. River Phoenix is a wonder in this movie, as is Will Wheaton.
