I honestly don't know how to rate this movie... I heard so many great things about this, so I guess it was a fact that I would be a little dissapointed (the expectations were big.) Besides that it was a good movie indeed... Especially if you are a fan of movies with vampires (yes lol the little girl is a vampire). I liked the fact that some different views about vampires were presented (***SPOILER***SPOILER***SPOILER***DON'T READ THAT ONE IF U HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE*** For example Eli couldn't enter the room unless someone invites her in, so I guess it makes sense why they named the movie "let the right one in"!Cool lol!)

The soundtrack was good enough. The performances were fantastic (of course Kare Hedebrant as Oskar and Lina Leandersson as Eli stand out). The atmosphere was great. Yup, overall seems this movie works well.
PS. It's not a scary movie, but there are some cool and bloody vampire scenes ;D

Pirate Radio (The Boat That Rocked)

now,i haven't actually love Richard Curtis work.i haven't seen four weddings and a funeral yet,and,while i thought Love Actually is a fantastic movie,i need more proof.Then comes The Boat That Rocked,the answer.it is seems to me that Curtis work is always full of spirit.after showing the spirit of love in Love Actually,now in this movie,he shows a full of spirit movie about rock n roll!great!

The Time Traveler's Wife

This film was just plain disappointing, really boring, without any notion of what type of film it wants to be. Also it wasn?t funny or charming, moving or romantic. Bana and McAdams did share a pleasant chemistry; they made you feel the pain and the ultimate acceptance of their dilemma but never conveyed the magic that allows the couple to persevere through such a grand but trying love. It wants desperately to engage our hearts, but for long stretches will leave most of us scratching our heads trying to answering lot of questions? I wished it had been finished in about an hour and a half sooner. I can't remember when I've had such a hard time becoming emotion ally involved in a love story on film.

Babel

A very well made film and interesting idea. I just felt it was a bit too drawn out and didn't have the impact of something like Crash. Good story but might not be for everyone.

Breakdown

a very good little gem of a movie. a nice simple story thats played out in a very entertaining way with some great stunts. try and catch this at some point. even if you're not a kurt russell fan as i'm not you'll be suprised.

Young Frankenstein

My friends in the movie audience, the doctor's name is actually pronounced "Fronkensteen"...IT'S A FRANKENSTEIN MOVIE SPOOF! Summoned by a will to his late grandfather's castle in Transylvania, the young neurosurgeon, Dr. Frankenstein, has spent his life living down the legend of Victor Frankenstein. When he discovers the scientist's step-by-step manual instructing how to bring the corpse to life, he starts to feel differently, and returns to the family castle to satisfy his curiosity by replicating his ancestor's experiments. In the process, he creates one very unique monster.

Directed by Mel Brooks, Young Frankenstein features excellent acting performances from the following cast:

4.) Peter Boyle (The Monster)
5.) Cloris Leachman (Frau Blucher)

Mr. Brooks got his Blazing Saddles done in the Western style now that the fun moves to the horror genre with a film based on Mary Shelley's classic novel - and it's done in comedic style and in black-and-white (no offense)! The picture quality here reminds me of the old 1930s Frankenstein film (even though I haven't seen that); I know that there were still black-and-white TVs in the '70s and perhaps motion pictures like this one. Whether it's trying to pronounce Frankenstein's name correctly, the comedic moments of bringing The Monster back to life, looking for any human soul in The Monster, or the great acting performances, Young Frankenstein is excellent comedy that will amaze you. Don't see it alone...OK, fine, see it alone.

Goodbye, Mr. Chips

If you like warmhearted optimistic films like me, you should say "Hello to this Goodbye"....

There's Something About Mary

A film that gives u a good laugh! A romantic comedy which is funny and enjoyable (at last!).

Law Abiding Citizen

AWESOME!!!! Gerard and Jamie Foxx are a fantastic pair.Intense and twisty,I loved it!!

The Thomas Crown Affair

I thought this was a pretty decent light hearted, sexy, crime thriller. More of a heist film to be honest. it's fun seeing how they did it, if the cops can figure it out and if he can get away with it. Strong cast and a well put together film overall.

Fright Night

I've been meaning to watch this for ages and glad I finally got round to it. I always remember the poster for it looking pretty good. Considered a cult classic this is a fun 80's tongue in cheek horror. The make up effects towards the end were pretty good considering it was made in 1985! A fun enjoyable horror worth checking out.

Amelie (Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain)

Loved it! This has been on my see it soon list forever.A film desidned to have the viewer fall in love with the story.I have never really seem anything quite like it.Its amazing what one random act of kindness for a stranger will spark off in another persons life.See this movie if you haven't already!! =)

Slow Burn

A pretty decent crime thriller with a strong cast. Not a lot of action but I thought it was a good story with some decent plot twists. In some elements it is like the usual suspects in the way the story unfolds with quite a few red herrings along the way. An enjoyable film that seemed to slip under the radar.

Scoop

I find this one very enjoyable. Scoop is something bizzare yet completely lovable movie, with the exact amount of comedy, suspense and thrill. I like the concept, a young journalist try to uncover the Tarot Reader killer by the help of quirk old man and earth bound spirit of famous late journalist. What makes it different is the non cliche, second is the chemistry between Scarlet and Woody Allen is just hilarious! Love the ending scene too, unpredictable.

7/10.

G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra

I KNEW this film was going to bad. So why did I watch it? Simple answer, I was in the living room on the internet and my dad puts this on. And I went against my better judgment and watched it. And boy was it ever crap. Except for the explosions, the special effects were horrendous. Secondly, the writing was horrendous. Although in most action films, you're not to expect some oscar worthy stuff here...but still. Those two main problems had me rolling my eyes and laughing at the utter crapness of it the entire time.

And whats really sad is that Joseph Gordon-Levitt could not save this film. Lets face it. He is a very talented actor. Probably one of the greatest of our time, and all I could think about was WHY IS HE IN THIS FILM? It was soooo beneath what he is capable of. Disappointed about that. Oh wait...EVERYTHING was disappointing. Actually can I even say it was disappointing when I knew it was gonna be crap?

It's not worth your time.

Run Lola Run (Lola rennt)

Wow I love this movie, I love the red hair girl that run and run like dancer, I loved the music I loved everything. It's too good a movie to be true. It has everything - a great story, two amazing and believable characters, an adventure, a mystery about time. And it is really fast. There isn?t moment with no action. From the start and the lightning-speed exposition to the quirky final credits, this movie grabs you by the throat and some how runs with it. The story is simple Lola (played by the wonderful Franka Potente) is in trouble. If she can't come up with 100,000 marks, her boyfriend Manni will die. But the worst is that she has only twenty minutes to come up with the money. Lola's race to save her lover is repeated three times with minor variations that lead to widely different endings. "Run Lola Run" is set in a brightly-collared fairy-tale world in which the elements of the story can be rearranged and connected at will. Direction plays with nuns, bums, guns, crooks, bankers, ambulances, and policemen is pure delight - it's as if we were granted a glance at the creative process itself, three different drafts of the same story, revised and rearranged until the final version satisfies. And the soundtrack, an integral part of Lola's full speed flight through the city, should be on everybody's dance list. But above all it's the story. So simple that you can sum up in one sentence then you know that you have a great one: "Lola has twenty minutes to come up with 100,000 marks and run through the city to rescue her true love." And she does it, and then she does it again, and then she does it again. Lola is amazing.

Pacific Heights

A pretty decent thriller that is quite tense. The tenant from hell arrives causing chaos for a young couple struggling with there first house. Decent film with a good cast but a bit dated now.

Paranormal Activity

What on earth was that?? Really really NOT scary. Who got scared with this movie!?!? Why does everyone compare this with the Blair Witch project?? Nothing even close to "The blair witch project", which is by the way INDEED SCARY and the best film presented as a documentary pieced together from amateur footage. Paranormal activity is the new Blair witch project? Yeah right! Who dreamed of that? (the fact that I talk more about the Blair witch project than Paranormal activity on a review which is supposed to be about Paranormal activity in the first place does convince you that this movie was stupid and without any reason to exist?)
Ok my opinion(which I think I made pretty clear lol); Paranormal activity was boring, slow and I repeat NOT scary at all (unless this is the first thriller you watch, then I accept it). What a crap...
