That?s more like it! I enjoyed this movie quite a bit, and it actually hit a little close to home for me, as I feel Jeff Daniels portrayed an all-to-accurate depiction of my father. The acting blew that of Lonesome Jim out of the water, the characters were rich and real and everyone had loads of faults. I chuckled; I was shocked, but overall very pleased with the film, and I enjoyed it more than I did Little Miss Sunshine- simply because it was more real to me than the Hollywood slaphappy turn out of Little Miss. I would recommend it if you enjoyed Closer, Everything is Illuminated, or The Royal Tenenbaums.
