The Road

This movie was very good, very well done. Viggo Mortensen gives an incredible performance in this film. This movie would not have been the same without Viggo in it. The storyline and the writing for this film was quite good. The cinematography was stark, graphic, and very realistic. They give you quite the bleak picture of the apocalypse. The actor who played Viggo's son in the film did a very good job. I liked this film a lot but this film is not up lifting. This film is very serious and tragic, and it is worth seeing.

5 Stars Solid!! This movie is like the little engine that could.I hope this sweeps at Oscar time cause the entire cast is Well deserving.If I had to pick only 3 movies this year to make my UBER top 3 list this would be in there.Emotional ,raw and hard to watch because of the powerful performance by Monique,this is gonna be one of the tops for 2009,Oh and Lenny Kravitz is super hot...still =)

The Blind Side

Sure this is another in the "Heartwarming, Inspired by a true story" cannon of films that we get an unlimited supply of every year, but very few just work on just about every level like "THE BLIND SIDE" does.

The story is truely inspiring, The performances are great, and the project was just handled with a level of care that made the film as a whole seem anything but routine.

A huge suprise and delight.

This is a good lovestory not like any other movie that I have seen. A young man meets a girl that is very special, she do and say stuff you really don`t expect.

Mary a reporter at the station is assigned to following the girl and her dad just a few days before christmas. It`s a story that gets you in the right christmas spirit. :)

Felon

This is a great example of how a movie can be amazingly captivating, and ascend to impressive heights, without as much as a single explosion, car chase or CGI effect. The story is very reminiscent of The Shawshank Redemption, only more violent, gritty and realistic. Most of the actors (apart from Val Kilmer, who here gives one of his best-ever performances) are quite unknown, but I thought that worked in the movie's favor, as it added to the authenticity factor. It's just boggles me how a film as brilliant as this one has received so little notice and publicity. I had never heard of it myself, up until about a week ago when I was recommended to see it. And I certainly don't regret that I did. Because this is, without question, one of the best prison flicks I've ever seen. Incredibly engaging and riveting, and with a ending that was both believable and satisfying.

Fireflies in the Garden

It`s a family drama. Good cast and story. It`s a sad story too.

It`s a beautiful fairytale. A young man goes to the magicworld to find a falling star to a girl he likes. The star is a girl and when he meets her it`s a start of a great adventure.

Director Greg Mottola's softly spoken, semi-autobiographical teen romance is a charming '80s tale of first love and first paycheques.
Jesse Eisenberg is a perfect fit. Kristen Stewart shows a gift for the genuine in a pretty girl growing up off-balance: she's flinty and fragile, utterly baffling to the uninitiated and entirely real.
Their film is conditioned to downplay - there are next-to-no dick jokes, nor a display-case of '80s trinkets to give credo to its time zone, but swathes of balmy warmth like a summer evening. The laughs are sweetly mocking.

Fanboys

I believe this comedy road trip is for the fan of Star Wars and it has enough knowing warmth to entertain even the staunchest sci-fi cynic. Born of a genuine love of cinematic sci-fi, the finished film looks remarkably like a teen road movie. The titilating objective in films like The Sure Thing and Road Trip is simply replaced in Fanboys with seeing a pre-release copy of The Phantom Menace. The determination of four childhood friends to see a sci-fi movie might be foreign to some, but the journey of self-discovery through misadventure is unmistakable.
Dan Fogler is so hilarious as well as I like Kristen Bell the best in her performance.
Surprised appearances with Star Wars faves Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams and Ray Parks, as well as from the likes of Seth Rogen, Jaime King, Williams Shatner, Danny Trejo and Danny McBride.
