Francis Ford Coppola's epic story, The Godfather is one of the greatest movies ever made. Coppola direction takes you through the life of this Italian mafia family and there dying mob boss. Brando is unforgettable as Don Vito Corleone. Pacino is the perfect Michael. Caan is incredible as the hot head, Sonny. And Duvall remarkable as the conceirge. With great performances and great direction. Watching The Godfather is "an offer you can't refuse"

The Greatest sequel ever! Both of my favorite actors sharing screen time. I wish De Niro could have been in it more because he was perfect as young Vito Corleone. Pacino played the part Don Michael Corleone brilliantly, to the point where you feel his emotions just by looking at his face. What i like about this movie is it really explains a lot of things in the first Godfather film. Which is why it is the greatest sequel ever.

Like Rocky it one of the greatest boxing movies ever made and one of the best movies ever. De Niro gives the greatest performance i've ever seen in film history. He plays the role of Jake LaMotta with such jealousy and resentment that it makes you hate him. Pesci and Moriarty were good but just overshadowed by De Niro's performance. Scorsese does a great job of directing in this one. Best movie of the 80's.

This film is brilliant! Tom Hanks is absolutly breath-taking as Forrest Gump. It wasn't just his performance that gave him the Best Actor award, but his narration throughtout the film was also amazing. Forrest Gump is one of those movies that are made once in a decade. The entire cast does a fantastic job. Robert Zemeckis has created a masterpiece.

I love this movie! This is the kind of movie that makes you think and thats why it's so unique. With an allstar cast including Gyllenhaal, Barrymore, Swayze and etc. They all give good performances. Gyllenhaal shows how great of an actor he is, he becomes Donnie Darko. What makes this film great is the script, I think it's one of the greatest scripts ever made, it will draw everyone's attention. Especially, the Smurf Discussion, it cracks me up everytime. Richard Kelly creates a fantastic psychological movie in Donnie Darko.

One of the greatest gangster fims ever! Goodfellas goes deeper into the mafia world which is what The Godfather lacks to do which makes this movie so much better. Ray Liotta plays the perfect Henry Hill and gives great narration throughout the whole movie. De Niro is sensational as usual, but De Niro and Liotta are all out shined by Pesci who makes his presence known everytime he gets on the screen. Scorsese really brings this story to life and does a fantastic job of directing.

A great story about a man who is destined for great things, yet he continues not to take his opportunities. Wondefully written by Damon and Affleck. The cast does a great job. Matt Damon plays Will Hunting so well, i can't believe he didn't win an oscar for his portrayal. Robin Williams on the other hand was granted a well deserved oscar for his role. This movie is not at all overrated.

An awesome mob movie with an all-star that keeps on the edge of your seat until the credits role. DiCaprio and Damon hold their own in this movie. Dicaprio plays the perfect Billy Costigan and Damon nails the part of Colin Sullivan which is the most complex charcter in the film and Damon plays it perfectly. Jack Nicholson is very creepy and amusing as Frank Costello. The entire cast does incredicble. Scorsese's direction is extremely brilliant. Best of 2006

One of the greatest stories ever made. This movie is fantastic. I love Morgan Freeman's narration, its up there with Ray Liotta in Goodfellas. Tim Robbins is also incredible as Andy Dufresne, an innocent banker convicted of murder. Great direction and one of the best films ever made.

Elia Kazan's classic On the Waterfront is a sensational piece of work. Not to mention Brando's performance as Terry Malloy, his performance is one of the greatest in film history. The entire cast does well, but Brando just out does everybody. Everytime I hear that "I coulda been a contenda" speech, I get chills.

Another outstanding Martin Scorsese masterpiece. De Niro is absolutely terrific as Travis Bickle. His portrayal of an ex marine in Vietnam is very well done. Rest of the cast holds their own including a young Jodie Foster who plays the role of a confused, young hooker greatly. A phenominal film.

An absolutely great movie with an outstanding cast. This movie has a great story that shows that in the end we are all just people not race and not stereotypes, but just people. Paul Haggis takes you through the life of 11 individuals. This movie will stick with you for a long time. Movies like this aren't made enough.

Joaquin and Reese give their best performances in this biopic about Johnny Cash and his affair with June Carter. Phoenix learned to play guitar from scratch and does his own singing. His portrayal of Johnny Cash is nothing less than perfect. Reese Witherspoon hits the nail right on the head with her portrayal of June Carter. She won a well deserved oscar for her depiction of June Carter. Their chemistry is absolutely amazing and is the best i've ever seen. Terrific direction by Mangold and brilliantly written. One of the best of 2005.

I love this movie. Very well written and the direction is excellent. The cast is great. Spacey, Del Toro, Pollack, Byrne, Baldwin, ect they all do fantastic. One of the greatest suspense movies also has one of the greatest twists.

Great plot, great casting and best Batman movie by far. Christian Bale is the perfect Batman.

This movie has a great story with a great cast. I can't forget Sam Mendes who's brilliant direction takes you through the life of this very dysfunctional family. Kevin Spacey gives his and the film's best performance in the rebellious and often humorous, Lester Burnham. The rest of the cast does well, but they are all over shadowed by Spacey. Really deserves Best Picture of 2000.

A remarkable film about multibillionare Howard Hughes. Very well casted. One of Leonardo DiCaprio's greatest performances. He really should have won that year. Cate Blanchett is superb as Kate Hepburn. Brilliant directing and editing. Not Scorsese's best, but still very good film that should be acknowledged.

This movie is my personal favorite scary movie cause it's mystery/drama/horror/suspense/ comedy all in one. Great movie for anytime. I love all the characters in the film and all of the actor were casted perfectly. Wes Craven creates another horror classic.

This movie was sick! Christian Bale's best piece of work. He wears Patrick Bateman like a suit. I can't believe the Academy didn't nominate him for this. This is just another movie when i think the acting was better than the actual film.

Shyamalan's best? No, but still very good. It's very suspenseful and even funny at some points. Definitely an entertaining movie to watch over and over again.

An outstanding film by Edward Zwick. One of the best in 2006. It took me awhile to get used to DiCaprio's accent, but his performance was still good. Djimon Hounsou is the film's best performance, he completely out-shines DiCaprio and Connelly. It's just ridiculous how he didn't win that oscar. What makes this film so good is that stuff like this really happens, which really gives this movie a great boost. All in all, this movie rocks and is a must-see for anybody.

Russell Crowe is absolutely sensational as James J. Braddock. He plays the part perfectly as a ex-fighter than has one of the greatest comebacks in sports history. Ron Howard's direction was phenominal. Paul Giamatti does a fantastic job as well.

A good story about friends that stick together. More movies like this should be made. Fantastic cast, great performances from Phoenix, Wheaton, Feldman, O'Connell and Sutherland. Wonderfully written and great direction throughtout the film. This movie is great from start to finish.
R.I.P River Phoenix, you will be missed.

One of the greatest plays in history is now one of the greatest classics in film history. This was definetly Marlon Brando's break-through performance, he plays the role of Stanley Kowalski brilliantly. Lets not forget the rest of the cast, who also did very well, but Brando is what really makes this film shine.

Jaws
(1975, PG)
Steven Spielberg is a genius. This is one of those movies I can watch over and over again. I love how in the beginning of the film Spielberg doesn't show the shark which makes the audience even more scared of the shark. Lets not forget the amazing music by John Williams. Almost everything about this movie is incredible.

This movie rules. I thought it was going to be real fake looking but the CGI effects were out-standing. I think all the cast members were good. There were some parts in the movie where i couldn't tell who was the good guy or who was the bad guy. Other than that Transformers very very entertaining and is action packed. Out of all the summer blockbusters, i would have to say that this one is the best so far. Michael Bay and Steven Speilberg have created greatness. Transformers is more than meets the eye.

An instant classic. John Carpenter's Halloween is and will remain the greatest horror film in cinema history. Let's not forget Carpenter's music which should not be counted less than a piece of art. The music is what makes the film what it is today.

Attica! Attica! This movie is probably the greatest bank robbery movie ever. Al Pacino is completely outstanding as Sonny. One of his greatest roles ever. Cazale plays the role of the accomplice very well. The directing and editing in this movie are top notch. It's films like this that make Pacino what he is today.

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are a perfect duo. I really enjoyed this film because it's one half guy's film and one half chick flick. Very hilarious, definitely worth watching. Not to mention Bradley Cooper, who plays the perfect bad guy.

Anchorman is one of those movies that gets better as you keep watching it. I love the casting and the cameos by Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller and even Tim Robbins. The entire show is stolen by Will Ferrell and Steve Carell. This movie has one of the most quotable lines in it, greatness.

Another brilliant film from the great Scorsese. De Niro plays a good Sam "Ace" Rothstein. De Niro is the kinda of actor that can transform into any character, especially the powerful and charismatic kind of guy which is what he does here. Joe Pesci held his own as usual. And Sharon Stone does exceptionally well surrounded by two acting legends. With a fantastic script, brilliant editing, great plot outline and not to mention Marty's directing, Casino is an amazing film about what happens when your on top for too long.

I have to the conclusion that football movies are the most inspirational sports ever. Other than Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights is one of the greatest sport stories ever told. Peter Berg's direction is perfect, showing you how towns in Texas are so passionate about football. Fantastic movie.

I love the story about Nixon's Watergate scandal. All the President's Men gives you more than just a look of how Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward brought President Nixon to justice. With actors like Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford you can't lose. This film is excellent.

Fantastic movie that hit me on a emotional level. Can we all just agree that Jim Carrey is way underrated and is long over due for an oscar or at least a nomination especially for this movie. He blew me away as Truman, being able to do his comedy and drama. He is so unappreciated.

If i was to ever have a favorite romantic comedy this would most definitely be it. Cameron Crowe writes a magnificent script and brilliantly directs this film about a big shot sports agent with a big heart and a lot of determination. Tom Cruise gives a heartfelt performance in his portrayal of Jerry Maguire. Renée Zellweger is suberb as a single mom that supports Jerry through his crisis. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays the cocky and unappreciated Rod Tidwell to perfection, which eared him Best Supporting Actor. Jerry Maguire is not your average romantic comedy, it's much more than that.

This is one of my all-time favorite books and now its one of my all-time favorite movies. Gregory Peck plays the perfect Atticus Finch, a Southern attorney defending a black man. His performance is absolutely one of the best in film history. Brock Peters' portrayal of Tom Robinson is played with such precision it makes you feel for him.

Roman Holiday is very romantic and comedic masterpiece. It is about a bored and sheltered princess (Hepburn) that escapes from her guardians and has a night out on the town with an American reporter (Peck) in Rome. William Wyler gives a great direction with his black and white imagery. It gives the film a better outlook and makes the main characters stick out in the great city of Rome. Audrey Hepburn won a deserved Oscar for her portrayal as the Princess Ann. She is utterly charming and to die for in this film. I could go on and on about how she was destined to play this part. She was just so brilliant. Gregory Peck gives a great performance in his first comedy on the big screen, especially with his scenes with Eddie Albert. The chemistry between Peck and Hepburn in most scenes were fantastic and just flat out amazing. A great film to watch over and over again.

Across the Universe is an extraordinary film about two propitious lovers set in the 60s. The male lead character is Jude, a dockworker who travels to America in search of his father. The female lead character is named Lucy, a sheltered all-American teenager. As time goes by, the movie touches upon all of the hard times endured during the sixties- the Vietnam War, civil rights movement, and social protests. The main lesson learned by all the characters is that "All You Need is Love." The entire soundtrack is from The Beatles. The film does an amazing job of relating certain songs to the tough and hard times during the 60s. For example, there is a powerful portrayal of the song "Let it Be" when it is performed by a scared, African American boy who is hiding and crying behind a car during a street riot in New Jersey. Then when it cuts to the little boy's funeral; just shows you how poetic and moving that song relates to the situation, it is a tearjerker. Each song is performed in a way that is relevant and unique to the characteristic of the time. The singing is fantastic, some of the songs are performed so dramatically. Few of my favorites include "I've Just Seen a Face" and "With A Little Help From My Friends." One of best films of 2008 especially, if you are a hardcore Beatles fan.
