Come see this movie with me...Hey, you should see this!
It's not the strongest 007 film, but please tell me what you think.
(I'm gonna get a folder of complete reviews for all 22 films and list my favourites) for the meantime, and to start I've reviewed this one and given it 3 stars, please get back to me with your comments and opinions.

Diamonds Are Forever
by SteveThis is when James Bond started getting a bit silly. Tongue in cheek where it just wasn't the right thing to do. Great story, Disappointing execution.
Where the humour works best is the interplay between 007 and M, and Felix Leiter. "I have a friend in the C.I.A. who can fix almost anything"
In the 1960s when the series launched (I dont think even then the producers would've known just how successful it would become) but while there's essentially a brilliant story in here, it gets lost under a lot of the innuendo and slapstick humour - even after the rather grisly pre-title sequence which if you've never seen this film before leaves you wanting to see a lot of action - and if you have, then like me probably wish it would maintain its initial momentum.
Briefly, it sees the return of Blofeld (for those of you who don't know much about 007 please look it up in wiki pages) and a stash of diamonds that leaves a trail of death in its wake.
Sean Connery made a reluctant return to the role after George Lazenby took the part for the film preceeding this one - and it shows. He's sleepwalking the role and it's still essentially an enjoyable romp, but not as strong as it could've been.posted 504 days ago -
I recommend you see...Hey, you should really see this! It's kind of a chick-flick, but I loved it!

Come see this movie with me...Hey y'all, wasn't sure whether to send this as invite or recommendation (its kind of both) tell me what you think (ye ye I know some of you declared a non-interest but) I've been inspired to re watch a film I'd previously dismissed.
Some of you will agree, talk back to me in messenger or talk boards and speak soon.

Underworld
by SteveBasic story: Caught in the middle of a "war" between the vampires and Lycans (lycanthropes aka werewolves) Kate Beckinsale looks wonderful as Selene, a vampire with a fractured history, a very dangerous family suddenly caught up with a big secret (which continues into the second film) and a whole lot of sexy shiny leather and a lot of guns. Seen it, loved it, despite its daft proposition, a lot of visual references are there to be seen (think Trinity for one...) but a story line that could've been a little stronger but still an original take on an otherwise tried formula up to then.

As I delete wigets from my page, I give everyone one last shot at getting them. It slows the pages down when you get too many. & I must make room for the new. :)posted 590 days ago -
I recommend you see...Hello.
While it is true that you might not all like Sci-fi films, I would heartily recommend this one (and it's predecessor, as briefly explained in my review) a good couple of films for a rainy sunday afternoon... Or, to put it another way: you should really see this! Tell me what you think - if you've seen it, would like to see it.
Regards and talk to you later.

2010: The Year We Make Contact
by SteveTo understand and appreciate this sequel (one that is otherwise immune from "law of dimishing returns" because its based on really strong source material, and a great director who also wrote the screenplay) Under-rated ofr sure and definately worth a look in. The previous film to this has been considered by many to be one of the best and certainly one of the most influential Sci-fi films of all time, with some rather surprising endorsements, you cant go too badly wrong by following it up with reading the novels.

Come see this movie with me...Hey, you should see this (not sure about "really see this" and certainly no exclamation mark)
Tell me what you think and help me decide if it's worth it or not, and since none of my local friends would be interested (of those I see films with, I know this for a fact) would you want to see it with me? (Couple of friends here I think would)
TTYL, please all/most of you reply to me on this one

Dedication
by SteveIt's one of these rare instances when a film outside my main interests appeals to me. Don't know why (I could end up hating it) but it's worth going out on a limb occasionally, especially when there are no inspiring films out there at the moment...

Come see this movie with me...Hey, you should really see this so you can a) tell me what you think and b) is the fuss about this as big and worthwhile as I've been led to believe...
I hope you like the occasional foreign language film, none of you have so far rated this film... how many of you (I'm not going to browse all profiles) have even got this genre of movie in your pick lists?

City on Fire
by SteveFrom what I've read about this film, and the clips that I have seen Ye can easily spot QT's inspiration for his blistering début. This remains one of a number of HK Chinese movies that is on my wish list.

Doomsday
by SteveNeil Marshall can do no wrong, well written slightly scary movies (to frighten the pants of less hardy souls) but good humour and a great story line - I'm looking forward to this based on his last ,movie alone
