Nina Bargiel (slackmistress)

Ah, the 1930s, when martini hour started at 11am and went all day. William Powell looks like a strangled goldfish and yet his Nick Charles is still insanely charming, and Myrna Loy's Nora oozes sass. Their witty repartee is what makes this movie. The fact that it's actually a decent mystery is icing on the cake. Even if you're one of those people who hate black and white movies (and if you are why? WHY?) just try this. You will NOT be disappointed.
