1.
Casablanca
Unrated
This is what a movie should be. It has drama, romance, intrigue, comedy, suspense, betrayal, music and Nazis...it has it all! My all-time favorite movie.
2.
Slap Shot
R
One of the best movies ever made, and certainly the best hockey movie ever made. It is the definitive life-in-the-minors hockey movie...the hockey equivalent of "Bull Durham". I could watch it over and over...hell, I could just about quote it from beginning to end. It never gets old.
3.
Bull Durham
R
A true-to-life look at life in minor-league baseball. Kevin Costner plays "Crash" Davis, a grizzled bus league vet who's expected to teach young phenom pitcher "Nuke" LaLoosh (Tim Robbins) and guide him to the Majors. Susan Sarandon lights up the screen as Annie Savoy, Nuke's world-wise girlfriend, who's better suited for Crash. Laughs, Life and Love abound in this comedy-romance...with some great baseball scenes mixed in for good measure.
4.
Caddyshack
R
The funniest movie ever made about golf. It's also one of the most oft-quoted movies in history. A wacky story of a bunch of screwballs at Bushwood Country Club, brought to life by a virtual who's who of comedy. The most fun you can have in plaid pants.
5.
Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope
PG
The one that started it all...and still the best one of the bunch in my opinion. George Lucas' masterpiece breathed new life into the movie business and was a breath of fresh air for moviegoers everywhere.
6.
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
PG-13
The last and best episode in the Indy trilogy. This one showcases a fine performance by the legendary Sean Connery as Indy's father (no explanation of why Indy has no Scottish accent, but who cares?). The interplay between Connery and Ford add new depth to the series and to the character of Indy, and the action sequences are riveting as always.

American Gangster
by Teresa(2007 Director: Ridley Scott) One of Denzel Washington's best performances......Almost missed this one...but that would have been a waste...liked this like I liked "16 Blocks" with Bruce Willis. Based on a true story people are saying. Great cast. Who WASN'T in this movie? Even Armando Assante starred a key role as a mob boss. Great performances. Kind of the story of ruin of a good man who succombed to profit at what cost?
Here is a quiz on several "gangsta" films...this particular one (American Gangster) is actually based on a true story & seems like those of you who have already seen it liked it! I liked it!
Here's the quiz:

Memento
by ChristianA confusingly brilliant master creation by Nolan (Batman Begins, The Prestige). It's better the second time around. I have to read the plot in its chronological order just to understand what really occurred at the events. You can't solve the puzzle by just watching it once, you should watch it various times to put the pieces in order, and you should really stay focus. This is the first time I watched Guy Pearce, and I thought his performance is very realistic. This is the real thrill!! Suspense at its best!! I watched it like I have a short-term memory loss, I want to start it all over again and again, even if I stored all the scenes in my head. I gave it a 10/10.
Hey, you should really see this!
