The Guardian (2006,  PG-13)
The Guardian 5.0 Stars
This movie was a little predictable, but the actors didn't let that ruin their skills. Costner gave an awesome performance,(as usual), perfecting the mood and strength, while Kutcher gave us the ambition and angst. Combining all of those it was a very passionate and powerful look into the sacrafice of the Coast Guard. I totally reccomend it!

This movie is underrated and deserves more credit than it gets. IT'S SO HILARIOUS! The humor was NOT immature more than the critics are just cynical buttholes. Good timing on all parts but of course Lovitz's stood out the most and took the cake on all things funny. Totally reccomendalbe!

Live Free or Die Hard (2007,  PG-13)
Live Free or Die Hard 5.0 Stars
There are a lot of people that say it was too long of a gap between this and the 3rd, but for coming out around Transformers it did really well. Personally I thought it was better than Transformers. The plot made sense and gave it excitment while Bruce's smart remarks made you smile as you were on the edge of your seat. It was really actiony all throughout and the

Yippy-Kae-Yay sent chills running up your back.

Anyways I think this film would of gotten a lot more coin at the box office if it hadn't released right next to Transformers. (Even though this was a LOT better than Transformers) We're gonna die die die die hard!

Evolution (2001,  PG-13)
Evolution 5.0 Stars
This took a while for me to review. it was a long haul waiting for all the awesomeness to sink in.

Duchovny and Jones seem to be a comedic-duo made in heaven! Scott was a nice bonus to the hilarious chaos, though Julianne Moore's character wasn't much help in the humor factor, her strict, head-strong presence made an absolutely unavoidable target for jokes. Evolution is one of the very few remaining comedies that actually sticks to the plot and yet does not let up on the hilarity of it. Very well done and thought out, this film is going straight to my favorites. And trust me, it takes a lot from a movie to make it there. ;)

Matchstick Men (2003,  PG-13)
Matchstick Men 5.0 Stars
I love it, love it, love it! It's one of my dad's favorites, but I'd never had any interest in it. My parents have tried so many times to get me to sit down and watch it with them, but I figured it was going to bore me to the point of screaming and clawing my eyes out. Oh how wrong I was! What has to be the biggest twist, dare I say, since the Sixth Sense, the plot was understandable, the outlook on Roy's (Cage) life got to you and then *POSSIBLE SPOILER* they tear it all out from under you! Though you practically let them have it because the twist is that it was there in plain site the whole time! A fantastic, fantastic film I am reccomending this to everyone I practically know! The acting was superb, the directing was on the fine side, and the storyline is one of my all time favorites! I can't even express my deep appreciation for this film.

Freaking hilarious! Not even the lovey-dovey sub-plot was sappy. ^___^ Totally on my favorites list. A great comedy done in good taste. Worth watching again and again!

Love it! Hilarious antics, and totally reminds me of the good old days. . . Had a romantic sub-plot, but it wasn't overdone and thus didn't totally ruin the film. There were some questionable things that I wouldn't have mind to have been left out, but other than that, this movie is a freaking riot!

This movie was actually really good. I'd never heard of Firefly before this. I'm not usually a Sci-Fi chick but after this movie I got hooked on the series. Extremely good, yes, even the smart remarks made by Jayne.

This show is just another one of Tim Burton's greatest ever. I feel Albert Finney gave the best performance out of all of them, Ewan McGregor following close behind. This really makes you think and you'll have a whole new appreciation for life. It's awesome!

It was a little quirky. Great humor, (I could go on forever of how much I loved the jokes), that still sends me laughing when I just think about it. I especially loved the song at the very beginning.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

I very much enjoyed this one! Costner had a more edgier touch then what the we're used to but pulled it off well. The film itself was very improbable but pulled that off in a style of its own.

It was great! Didn't have the best special effects of all time, but I thought it was worth watching. :)

The plot was very well done, keeping the audience entertained, while the film as a whole deserves more credit than it has been getting.

The Bucket List (2007,  PG-13)
The Bucket List 4.0 Stars
Beauty wrapped in grace! Not only is that the way to decribe this film, it is also the link between Nicholson and Freeman's characters. Nicholson is the 'beauty' in the way he wants to live and his outgoing spirit whereas Freeman's 'grace' enters his lines with each word read. The way he elegantly and inconspicously turns Nicholson to see a new meaning of life while in turn Nicholson helps Freeman feel the way to live. A truly beautiful piece Reiner has delivered us! The plot itself was well thought out and simple, it came to the point and was hurled to the audience's attention in the most joyful way. Touching and inspiring without being sappy, this was a truly magnificent film!

The Dark Knight (2008,  PG-13)
The Dark Knight 4.0 Stars
The Performances:

Bale- Did not seem to be enjoying the film. To me it seemed he went, he saw, he acted, but I didn't see any compassion, any dedication from himself to his character. He did excellently, just seemed bored. I didn't feel him giving it his all.

Eckhart- Did very well! He saw, he tried, and it worked! Casting him as Harvey Dent was predictable but exceptional, and I braced for his best and got it.

Gyllenhaal (sorry, before was a total mix up)- I actually really enjoy her on the big screen. She has potential and the guts to use it. I hope she is in more movies in the future.

Oldman: Second best performance! He was the perfect, clean-cut, cop that is both lovable and somewhat irritating. It was the perfect blend that made Gordon what he is.

The best for last!

Heath Ledger- This is where it gets tricky for me. Let me just give my point: The best perfomance I have ever seen, and the best to withstand all that will come. No one, no one could have been as brilliant as he was. It still blows my mind that such a sickening, cruel, dark, and twisted character could be pulled off to the fullest of all those words in such a graceful way. He was the film. His perfomance was the whole support beam and all the stitching for every scene and framework done. He made the film worth watching.

The Movie

Call me crazy but I was a bit disapointed with the film. The film. Got that? Now let me explain: I'll start from the beginning. Nothing much happened there. just a couple lines and patched up scenes from the first film. It was exciting, but lacked tension, except for the parts when the Joker appeared. The thing is, the film would have bored me to death if it weren't for Heath. To reiterate: Though it was exciting, without tension a film like this doesn't last long in the box office. Ledger totally brought the tension full on and made one hell of an entrance doing so. I think the rest of the cast didn't know what do about that. I can say I didn't expect much out of the new Joker, but I had my hopes high on curiosity. But because that performance was one so fascinating that it unbalanced the film. See, if Ledger was just as average an actor as the rest of the cast, the film would still have been okay. But because the others sucked compared to him in unbalanced the tone so to speak. Though in a way, he totally balanced it at the same time. Just when you begin to realize that a scene is boring you, Ledger takes you out of that state of mind and keeps you entwind with the film. All in all, the film without Ledger would be nothing. I hate to say but the film isn't worth five stars, the Joker is.

I have loved this film since I was little. It's truly a new aspect of spaztic and really makes you think rationally about the future. Gere always has this sort of charisma about him that paid off very well in this movie. Julia, (who has yet to wow me) did very well on all acounts. Overall one of my favorite romantic comedies and one I will be watching again!
