Loved this film! Great perfomances by everyone. Heart touching story!

It is a message movie done in an absolutely fantastic and heart touching way. I have never felt as much sympathy and love for an inanimate object as I did after wacthing WALL-E. No doubt the best animation movie of the year. It used robot and turned them into humans. The emotions and expressions were well managed. The whole movie was balanced very well.

This movie is MUCH better and MUCH more memorable than CRASH. Alejandro González Iñarritu takes us to different places in the world and makes us not only feel like we are in those areas but also make us feel for the characters.
He makes it painful for you to watch these characters going through these difficuilties, and when the last heart wrenching scene fades to black the viewer just sits there praying that everyone is fine. The characters become real and are given these reality by wonderful and amazing perfomances by every one in the cast. Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Gael Garci, Adriana Barraza and Rinko Kikuchi all give stunning perfomances...but the best perfomances were by Adriana Barraza and Rinko Kikuchi...both make you feel pain and despair as they feel it, and make their characters extremely sympathatic.
Alejandro González Iñárritu has done a marvelous job in putting all these stories together. This IS the Best Picture of the year and it is a must see!!!!

An amazing movie...I just don't know why America did not like it.
The direction is amazing, the cinemtography is breath taking, The acting is mind blowing, the costumes are brilliant and the soundtrack is astounding....and the storyline, is original and fantastic based on an equally wonderful book..
What is there to hate about this movie? Ever since I read the novel I was dying to see this movie and I wasn't disappointed at all.. I think Joe Wright did more than justice to the book and Kiera Knightely performed another Oscar worthy performance along with Saoirse Ronan, who is going to be big! James McAvvoy like is every movie was flawless.
This movie actually makes to the top five of my favorites.

Absolutely fabulous movie! It has the most unique storyline ever...and has quickly become one of my top favorites....
The direction is fabulous and the acting by everyone is amazing but i was absolutely stunned by Abigail Breslin's tremendous and emotion evoking performance. The oscar nominee was well deserved but unfortunately the competition against Jennifer Hudson was way too high...
The movie was extremely well casted...best this year in fact....
This movie has great lines that make it extremely memorable and utterly remarkable..."this life is a beauty contest" and "Am I pretty, grandpa...?"
I recommend it to everyone...as its a movie not to be missed!

The dark Knight is the sequel to the blockbuster " Batman Begins", and it is ten times better.
The story also features the famous Batman villain "the Joker" played fantastically by Heath Ledger. Heath Ledger was fantastic as the joker and ends up giving I belive the best perfomance by any actor this year. His joker is unique, original, scary, funny and extremely interesting. He keeps you glued to the screen with his panda eyes and crimson smile. He is surely going to get his academy award which he deserved for his heart wrenching performance as the Gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain.
Another addition to the cast is Maggie Gyllenhaal who takes up the role of Rachael Dawson after Katie Holmes, and quite frankly, she was much better. She had the charm of Rachael and made you truely sympathies with her: A woman lost between two men.
This movie also sees "two Face" played by Aaron Eckhart in a small cameo role, which was slightly disappointing as I was expected two face to stay on until the end, but the whole movie was so brilliant that the disappointment drowned into it like a swimmer in a vortex.
The movie is just brilliant. Period It has everything that a GOOD MOVIE should have. It leans away from a typical superhero movie. It shows us what happening now in the world. The terrorists, bomb attacks, kidnapping...all these things by a sole criminal (just like the talibans).
The direction in this movie is ace. Christopher Nolan does it in a row. The cinematography is to die for and the makeup and costumes are just darkly gorgeous. The music is always in synchrony with the pace and mood of the movie and make is utterly admirable.
To sum it all up:
Amazing movie! Loved every second of it. This is a must see movie of 2008....

Mira Nair...O mira Nair what have you done, again. You have captured me bodily and soul by this mighty and powerful work brilliant cinema.
This is what I thought when the credits were sliding off the screen. I never ever thought it to be that good to end up on the favorite movie list.
This movie is not only brilliant and mind blowing but also touches the right place in the heart to start the flow of emotions from ones eyes. Tabu does such a great and fantastic job as her character. Her lines are not as many as Kal Penn but even without the lines she shows so much expression in her beautiful eyes and face. Her crying scene in the garden was extremely powerful. She is a great indian actress...who can not be compared in acting to Ashwariya Rai...who is nowhere near her talents. Irrfan Khan aslo does agreat job and so do Zuleikha and Kal but next to Tabu's delicious performance they fade into the background. In fact there is always something about Kal Penn which I find quite annoying. Even in Harold and Kumar I did not like him that much.
The music...oh what lovely , gorgeous and sensual music that carries you off to exotic lands. A whole range of cultural music is heard throughout the music. The soundtrack is worth buying (a mental note made).
Mira Nair's stamp is on every inch of the movie. With the bright exotic colours and terrific camera movement she catch all the five senses of the viewer, this time even more so than her previous Vanity Fair and Monsoon Wedding.
This movie has a lot of meanings in it and was one of the very very few movies that nearly moved me to tears. I take my hat off for Mira Nair and had fabulous gift, and I do want to recommend it to every single one of you, because you'll be a bunch of buffoons if you don't end up loving this one!

Absolutely brilliant. An original idea...which in my opinion works extremely well. The idea of having a period drama with contemporary touches, makes this film superb and a sensual delight. Sofia Coppola took an extremely challenging move by doing this.
The script was a bit scratchy at bits but the extremely breathtaking cinematography, stunning costumes, make up and absolutely beautiful sets out shinned the script.
The acting was brilliant and some of the cast was extremely miscasted but Kirsten Dunst gave a stunning a strong performance as Marie Antoinette. she made her extremely sympathetic and real. Jason Schwartzman also was another well casted member of the film, although he was no where as good as Dunst.
One of the best movie that came out ever, and which is absolutely and utterly under rated! I am sure to get it on DVD when it comes out! A true Sofia Coppola film.

A must see!
A film which is amazing, brilliant, beautiful and touching. This movie is one of the bests that I have seen this year and I must say that it also holds some of the great performances of 2006 as well...most notably by Jennifer Hudson...a completely new comer to Hollywood, whose name is quite disappointingly credited the last but is actually the best thing in the movie. Her song..."And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" makes you just admire and completely sympathize with her. She won the Golden Globe this year and I think it was extremely well deserved! Hopefully she'll also take an Oscar with her.
This movie also has great cinematography and the costumes are just fabulous! The music is great and the direction by Bill Condon is absolutely brilliant!
I must say yet again that This movie is a MUST see because it is one of the best musicals (although don't be put off by the 'musical' bit) ever and is also one of the best movies out this year!!

Excellent one of my favorites no doubt! Brilliant acting and amazing story! Great adpatation of the stunning and drak novel!

A brilliant movie...that is directed excellently and adopted fantastically. About the acting...do I really need to say...just look at the credits...its got Judi Dench, Cate Blanchett ...what would you expect apart from utterly seductive, extremely flawless and dripping with talent. They make even the bad actors around them look good....fortunately there are no bad actors in the movie....
Recommend it to everyone...

I am a massive and obsessive fan of the Harry Potter series and as a fan I wasn't disappointed, merely because before watching the movie I knew that there would be a lot of things missing as not everything can be fit into a two hours movie, especially considering the 800 pages and extremely heavy book of this part. Unfortunately, I also think that the fan actually make the movies look bad (no offense to any one...as I am a fan as well!) as they accept to much from the movies, and always complain..."Oh, why wasn't that in the movie?" or "why did they cut that out"..so I made a promise with myself that I would watch this as a movie in a whole...and not a movie from a wonderful fabulous and an utterly amazing gem of literature.
I must say that the movie had me in its grasp from the starting seen until the very end. I was delighted to see the new style of the mobie and I must say that I am a fan of David Yates now. The casting is fabulous. Bellatrix Lestrange played by Helena Bonham Carter is just fantastic...Professor umbridge did look like a toad and was pathetically nice and pink. Luna...well...I am in love with Evanna Lynch for doing an excellent job with Luna. She was not only weridly funny and utterly witty but also was extremely sweet.
The kiss...well...it was a bit too long for my taste but still drew some "awwww"'s from the girls. The battle at the end between Dumbledore and Voldemort was the best ever duel that I have seen. It was not only fantastically shot but was also amazingly delicious and utterly superb.
The best thing I loved about the movie were the images in the past where we see Harry, Ron and Hermione from all the previous movies. I also loved the music which was extremely sensual.
The only thing that I was a bit disappointed about was the fact that Luna and Bellatrix had so little time on screen, but apart from this I have NO...absolutely No complaint about this movie. It is a Gem in the Harry Potter franchise and my favorite as well...until now at least!

COOL!!!! beautiful film!

A movie by Peter Jackson...the director of Lord Of the Rings trilogy. He does a great job in this movie as well...creating a haunting and absolutely brilliant movie...based on real events about two young school girls.
The cast is absolutely amazing and the three actresses that really shine in this gem of a movie are no doubt the extremely well casted, than unknown leads: Kate winslet (absolutely brilliant as ever!), Sarah Peirse (who provides an extremely sympathetic and heart breaking performance of the mother of Melaine) and Melaine Lynskey.
The story is absolutely beautiful and extremely haunting...made worse by the fact that its a realstory!
A gem of a movie!

Loved this film from the opening titles until the end! A great film. No doubt the best Vampire flick of the 80s!

I was completely blown away by the beauty of this movie. It has a very simple set, which infact seem very effective. The soundtrack is also brilliant.
Nicole Kidman gives a very effective perfomance...(as usual).

Amazing!

Absolutely amazing! Nicole Kidman's best performance so far! Julianne Moore was also excellent! I felt that Meryl Streep didn't give her usual breath taking performance but was still brilliant in the role of Clarissa!
Read the book, and I must say that the movie is as good as, if not better, than the book!

WOW! loved this movie. Brilliant, dark, and extremely capturing. It leaves the image of Anthony Hopkins, and the absolutely craziness of Ralph Fiennes imprinted in your mind. It seduces you immensely with an amazing, haunting, and dark storyline and characters.

HA HA HA!!!!! A musical and a movie that is absolutely unique! The songs are catchy, and the acting is absolutely amazing. Tim Curry notably as the "Sweet Transvestie From Transsexual Translvania" is unforgatable! Halarious, and if you want a fun time than it is a must see!
