abel ferrara 's bad lieutenant stands out as one of the grittiest,artsy, kick in the balls films to come out of new york since taxi driver.keitel acting in this film is outstanding. i gained so much respect for him after i seen him in this. better then reserviour dogs which came out around the same time.

mash is one of those movies that flew under the radar. during the time it was filmed tora,tora,tora and patton were being filmed. so the studio exec's focused on them.so because of this altman made a risque , realistic, comical, crazy , dirty(as in the way the soldiers werent always sparkling clean all the time like in most war films that pre date this)film. when it was released became an instant smash . also was made into a hit t.v. show. ahead of its time, and simply classic.

this is the ultimate feel good film. no matter how how feel before watching thsi movie afterwards u will be feeling great.one of the very best !!!!!!
