Battle Royale (Batoru Rowaiaru) (2001,  Unrated)
Battle Royale (Batoru Rowaiaru)
This is the most origanal and unique films ever brought to the screen by the directing genius of Kinji Fukasaku. Because this film has been banned from the US and was never released there, while Hostel is a far more gorier film. Though in what countries this film has been released in it has been a cult-film, though is film that is very hard to come by. If this film was given more of a media-hyped release this movie would be the biggest Cult Since Reservior Dogs.
The acting talent in this film is unbelivable as the age of it's cast is so young. Though with the experience of Takeshi Kitano overdoing himself in his role as the evil teacher in charge of the BR: act the potential of this film was higher than the Beatles on a dayly basis. The film was nominated for a Japanese Academy Award though just missing out.
In conclusion this film is highly regarded as one of the greatest films ever made though is largly unknown due to it's low profile release.

Oldboy (2005,  R)
Oldboy
Although there are some films which i like more than this one, OLDBOY is by far the best made film ever. There is nothing bad about this film what so ever, the plot is beyond brilliant, the Hammer Fight scene was done brilliantly well and even that Octpus, wow, that was wrong. Chan-wook Park after making Part one of the Vengeance trilogy "Sympathy for Mr Vengeance" was released nothing special was thought of it but when the next part was out, it had critics all over the world turning in South Korea's direction. This is the peak of entertainment so far, although it is a very graphical film while relating to many real life events. Just a beautiful film proving that the East is the greatest creators of films.

The Departed (2006,  R)
The Departed
Deserved every single Oscar it one and would got more to if Forrest hadn't of done so well in "The Last King of Scotland" the award would of easily of been one by Leonardo and maybe even Mark Wahlberg as "Best Supporting Actor" playing his character so brilliantly. The turns just came so thick and fast in the end it ended up nearly killing me with suspence of what was going to happen next. I have to say i have never really been to impressed of Martin Scorsese's films and that the Americans were remaking yet another asian film and even seeing DiCaprio in such a hardman type role got me thinking this was going to be a flop but after seeing it, wow just to damn good for words.

The Bourne Ultimatum (2007,  PG-13)
The Bourne Ultimatum
Best film of the year by a long shot!
6
Reservoir Dogs (1992,  R)
Reservoir Dogs
Quentin's first and best film in my opinion, all the characters are so different from each other giving it an amazing depth, just outstanding
7
Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi) (2001,  PG)
Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi)
i watched the first ten minutes and thought it was rather stupid but once i got into it i began to like it more and more. The no-face was really scary and the baby was the biggest thing i have ever seen but the animation was done so brilliantly that it made me want to watch more. Miyazki deserves to been known as the king of animation because this film was just a wonder to watch and should be placed at the top of the list with the title of "Best animated ever."
8
The Prestige (2006,  PG-13)
The Prestige
Twists and turns gallor. Though unfortunatly my dad figured it out a 1/4 of the way through the film and he told me. but tottally awsome. Hugh Jackman at his best
9
Donnie Darko (2001,  R)
Donnie Darko
I have watched this film at least 5 times and i still don't inderstand it but i love it anyway. How Strange. One of the greatest and strangest movie made in yeae
10
The Breakfast Club (1985,  R)
The Breakfast Club
When i sat down to watch this i expected a film which would stick in my mind as a good film but with nothing really to remember it by. but was i wrong, this is the most insparational film i have ever seen with some of the most touching scenes contained with in it. Acting from all of the actors were pure brilliant throughout the film with Emilio Estavez and Judd Nelson with eye catching performances. I would recomend this film to everyone i know as this is one film you should see while you are a teenager, just to say that if you have a bad life, don't think your the only one.
11
Phone Booth (2003,  R)
Phone Booth
Great suspence, how can you keep someone watching this movie interested on just one guy stuck in a phone booth. I don't know but they did it alright.
12
Collateral (2004,  R)
Collateral
A brilliant film, one of my all time favorites this is Jamie Foxx's and Tom Cruise's best roles ever in my opinion, Tom should play the bad guy more often because he has a real nack for it and definatly caught my attention. this film also showed me the pure brilliance of the director Michael Mann who did this film just right for me.
13
Saw (2004,  R)
Saw
Not that scary, but a darn good film. The twists make Alton Towers' Corkscrew look like a playschool ride, it is just unbelievable.
14
Batoru rowaiaru II: Chinkonka (Battle Royale II) (2003,  Unrated)
Batoru rowaiaru II: Chinkonka (Battle Royale II)
A great sequel to a great film, the best sequel i have seen in years not as good as the original which is the greatest film ever made but darn good anyways.
15
The Shawshank Redemption (1994,  R)
The Shawshank Redemption
One of the best films ever made, just amazing that it didn't win an Oscar, or did it i can't remember.
16
Titanic (1997,  PG-13)
17
Die Hard (1988,  R)
Die Hard
One of the best action films ever made, none stop action through the whole thing, Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman at their best. Voted best action film by the Mtv channel above Indiana Jones and Kill Bill, to make this a fine film.
18
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
Non-stop action through the whole thing, just amazing also including some Anime in there, a bit over the top but still good. Stars Kiriyama as ichi's body guard who plays chigusa in my all time favourite film Battle Royale
19
Serenity (2005,  PG-13)
Serenity
The best science-fiction ever made, with comedy, romance and a hint of western added to it. Nathen Fillion launched his career by playing the role of Mal and is still his best character he has played.
20
Air Force One (1997,  R)
Air Force One
A great film, although i thought the terrorists were doing the right thing i still think it is a kick ass film.
21
Sin City (2005,  R)
22
Little Miss Sunshine (2006,  R)
Little Miss Sunshine
A true feel good film, you may feel many emotions during the film but in the end you just feel an amazing sense of warmth and love. The acting in the film was brilliant especially by Steve Carell playing a very different character that he usually plays and Arkin who deserved the Oscar he won for it. The plot had no plot holes and every characters past was seen into deeply and should be regarded very highly to anyone. Altogether a touching movie which should be watched by anyone who is having a really bad day or sombody who wants to watch a brilliant film.
23
Crash (2004,  R)
24
The Full Monty (1997,  R)
25
