Quantum of Solace
PG-13
More traditionally Bond-ish than Casino Royale, Quantum continues Craig's style while moving the reboot in the direction of developing Bond into the character we know he'll eventually become. Now 007 just needs a sense of humor.
RoboCop
R
Good for an action film, but for a dystopia, is suffers. It just trots out liberal stereotypes of businessmen without making any real "statement." The Delta City plan was underdeveloped to the point of irrelevancy. Perhaps this was done in the editing room. If they'd made the "old man" in charge of OPC a guy with good intentions and Delta City a good-looking utopia, Robocop would have had some real meat.
Mulholland Drive
R
Kubrick-style weirdness, but (intentionally) without a coherent subtext or even regular-text. Like Kill Biil, it evokes a particular style fantastically, with loads of homages, but there's not a lot of substance underneath the atmosphere.
Madagascar
PG
It did a lot more with this premise than I thought. Its no Pixar film, but still good for a laugh.
