Schindler's List Schindler's List R
After watching his movie, I had a completely different outlook on life. A movie has never showed me so much pain and suffering in a more realistic way. Liam Neeson plays Oskar Schindler, who tried to save as many Jewish people from captivity by the Nazis by hiring them to work in a factory. You can feel the pain of what these people go through as the whole movie is in black and white to give it not only a more vintage look, but so you focus more on what is going on in the movie. This is by far, one of the most realistic accounts about the Nazi Concentration Camps, and there effects on people, both in and out of the camps.
Saving Private Ryan Saving Private Ryan R
This movie is one of many that have inspired me. It has an amazing story about brotherhood and sacrifice, that is shown in a way like no other movie before. The effects and camera angles are amazing, not to mention the excellent music and sound. The acting is beautiful and very compelling. No scene will ever be able to capture the heat of battle though like the opening of this one. The D-Day scene will make you sick to your stomach as you see soldiers sprawled out on the battlefield with their guts hanging out crying for their mother. The movie keeps you going by putting in other memorable scenes such as a snipers duel and an assault on an enemy bunker. The action lets up only every once-in-a-while to add to the excellent character development. The ending though is something that I appreciate most. It isn't far fetched or too morbid, it's nearly perfect, one you could believe.
