I recommend you see...Honestly, it's not awful! :)
A Good Year
by Amy-LouiseI classed this as Not Interested before I watched it....but when I watched it over dinner at a friends, I take it back! It's actually a really good film with loads of brilliant British talent in, and Crowe actually pulls off a cracking English accent which I actually prefer to his normal voice!
I have to say I'm not a fan of his at all apart from Gladiator...but this very very good and I'd recommend to a friend!
It's about a young boy who goes to live with his uncle in France and when he grows up becomes a major stockbroker in London. After the news that his uncles has past away he inherits his mansion and vineyards on the estate in France and, too inherets his uncles lifestyle....will he decide to live there? Will the lure of the stockmarket be too tempting to give up?...or will the girl who shows up claiming to be his beloved uncles daughter mess up his plans?
....you'll have to watch!
(I have to say I am NOT a fan of rom-coms of sentimental films at all, but his was very good and actually quite funny in parts...check it out...it's a good watch)posted 887 days ago -

I recommend you see...Hey, you should really see this!
Just...be prepard to wince, this message is mainly for the men!
Hostel: Part II
by Amy-LouiseNot a bad sequel...and wouldn't be surprised to see this turn in to a trilogy by the end of next year.
Follows directly on from the first fantastically gory movie the story this time is about 3 girls instead of 3 guys...with much the same gruesome results!
You have to see it if you've seen the first...and if you haven't seen the first one...what are you waiting for?!
Great homage to the Japanese films that have obviously influenced these 2 films (Anyone spot Takeshi Miike in the first one....anyone?) A must see for people into these films like I am, only if to see what the Americans are coming up with in the way of gory storylines.posted 893 days ago -
I recommend you see...This movie should be seen by everyone, with eyes....
Eraserhead
by Amy-LouiseLove it, so weird and under-rated.
Everyone should see this, and those of you who are still in the right mind set to still be alive should be on my Christmas Card List.posted 896 days ago -

I recommend you see...For Anyone that appreciates World Cinema, not for the faint of heart and certainly not to everyones taste.
Gozu (Gokudô kyôfu dai-gekijô: Gozu)
by DaveBefore watching this movie i had heard a mixed reception on one hand i have a friend that worships Takashi Miikes work but i also have friends that feel his work is a little confusing and has a distinct lack of direction. now after seeing this film i agree with both those statements Miike does not shy away from the extreme and i admire that in a director he is not affraid to challenge boundaries that could be deemed unapproachable, this movie confused me alot which if you read the synopsis shouldnt really happen but the story pulls you in and out of real life situations into the deranged characters delusions leaving you wondering whether what you just witnessed actually happend. this is a must see movie for anyone with and open imagination and the ending will definately have you on the end of your seat screaming at your tv. certainly not for the faint of heart and people that may be easily offended but as like all Miike films you should expect the unexpected.

Visitor Q (Bijitâ Q)
by Amy-LouiseAmazing film, very weird and fantasticly sickening.
A family who are, shall we say, having their differences, happen to cross paths with a bizarre 'visitor' who ends up sorting them out through very bizarre events.
You have to see this film, its far too good to miss. Perfect for the more open minded of you, you will find this great! The others however, will call me weird, and so be it! :)posted 906 days ago -
I recommend you see...See this movie before you die...
Breakfast at Tiffany's
by Amy-LouiseOne of my very favorite movies.
The story of Holly Golightly and the cat with no name! Holly is a girl who does things on a whim and enjoys the happy go lucky lifestyle....but she's enjoying the freedom of living in New York after running away from a young marriage and a doomed life in the country. All she really wants is a man to buy her something from Tiffanys for under 10 dollars and comlete her happy lifestyle!
The scene where her and 'Fred' spend the day doing things they've never done before is one of the things I'd love to do, and the scene that makes the movie truely enchanting.
A must see.posted 906 days ago -
I recommend you see...Violent and edgy! Check it out!
Pusher
by AbigailA very gritty, raw and tense action film. It is one of the most ultimate versions of the "drug deal gone wrong" story that I've ever seen. The characters are believable and pretty screwed up. At times you just can't believe how incredibly bad things have gotten for the protagonist Frank, and yet you are compelled to keep watching to see what happens to him next. It is quite violent and also sexually explicit jokes and dialogue. The moving camera shots on the street add to the realism and escalate the tension. This is the first part of the PUSHER trilogy. Favorite scene: The drug deal with the Swede.

Dead Man's Shoes
by Amy-LouiseBrilliant British film, great twist. Can't recommend it highly enough. Very gritty, but brilliant acting really draws you in to the brutal storyline and the horrific nature of human beings.

Haha yeah I never did quite understand why they toasted the US military either maybe there was a little bit to much booze in Egg Chens Six Demon bag, that would be great if it was based on actual events I always wondered why the 3 Storms decided on those massive hats
