Time and Tide 1. Time and Tide R 5.0 Stars
My favorite Tsui Hark film. The story's about a kid who doesn't know what he's getting into, but compelled by the fact that he's becoming a father soon, he tries to get as much money as he can quick. A movie about hitmen, hong kong, and going with the flow.
The Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai) 2. The Seven Samurai (Shichinin no Samurai) Unrated 4.5 Stars
If there's one movie to watch out of Japan, it would be this one. Not to mention, it's quite funny at times.
Pulp Fiction 3. Pulp Fiction R 5.0 Stars
the film that made me want to be a screenwriter. I love all the lines, and have incorporated it into my vernacular. I can't believe Forest Gump beat it for the best picture oscar in 1994.
Hero 4. Hero PG-13 5.0 Stars
Donnie Yen vs. Jet Li? That's worth watching the movie itself. Great sets and great costumes. And... Maggie Cheung, at 40? Still sizzling hot!
Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang 5. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang R 4.5 Stars
I saw this movie once and loved it the first time, but the second time was not as special. I think it's just a FUN movie with lots of great lines. Not as good as Pulp Fiction, but it's just so kinetic at times that once you sit down, you can't stop but finish it.
Chungking Express 6. Chungking Express PG-13 5.0 Stars
Two stories about love and loss, intertwined by a nightstand in Hong Kong. I don't know what others think, but I would loved to be stalked by Faye Wong!

    I'm thinking leaving Flixster. And you all know what's the main reason of such a thing. A lot of people here in Flixster don't really care much about movies and the site resources aren't that great either. So, i'm going to mantain my page, but i'm definiteley going to move to CRITICKER.com, which is fucking great btw. You can choose your own rating system (the common: 0-5 stars; 0-10 stars; 0-100 stars; whatever), it has decent pages for movies, actores and directors - flixster don't. It has a awesome community and great forums.
