Pi (1998,  R)
Pi 5.0 Stars
One of the most ambitious movies ever made... and the harsh part is...to the perceptive and actively inquiring viewer...it succeeds and even surpasses it's own ambition. If you like to think, if you are not afraid of what you really are. This is the film you've been looking for. Pi(Faith In Chaos) can truly help to open your mind and illuminate your soul. To truly grasp this film...is to know thyself...infinite and everlasting...creative by nature and lost within.

A Clockwork Orange (1971,  R)
A Clockwork Orange 5.0 Stars
A daring and brilliant movie that slips in the most radical and deep visions of the human situation. From Big brother to the mad scientist, from greed to subliminal brainwash. This movie asks all the questions and leaves you to make up your own mind, if you dare. It isn't all pretty, but being human isn't always pretty now is it? This is easily among the best films ever made.

Fast Times At Ridgemont High (1982,  R)
Fast Times At Ridgemont High 5.0 Stars
The best High School comedy I know of. Even The Breakfast Club can not equal this masterpiece. This is one of the best, if not the very best ensemble casts in a comedy ever assembled. Brilliantly written by a very young Cameron Crowe and wonderfully directed by Amy Heckerling(Clueless). One of the first teen films to ever featrue prominent & strong female roles.

Have you ever had a dream that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

Scarface (1983,  R)
Scarface 5.0 Stars
Scarface in all its fame & popularity is still a very misunderstood film in my view. Loved by some critics and called mediocre by others. Some of the powers that be, fear this film. Scarface is a classic to be sure. It may be the greatest and truest portrait of the failure and destructivness of the capitalistic system, where drugs, guns and whatever else that provides money are king. A realistic, unforgiving and totally entertaining look at greed, power and the alure and falicy of the American Dream. One of the greatest movies in modern history in every aspect! The world is yours, take it!

Spartacus (1960,  PG-13)
Spartacus 5.0 Stars
One of the most complete and satisfying movies ever made. This movie is set in the same Roman era as 'Gladiator' historically, but is easily twice the movie. One of the very best of Hollywood's grand historical epics. Well written, well acted and another top notch direction by Kubrick. This picture has action, romance, drama and real heart. A film quite like no other. A must see!

Val Kilmer literally becomes Jim Morrison. One of the greatest acting performances of our time. A very well executed direction by Oliver Stone, one of his very best. Stone totally captures the mystique and power of Jim Morrison and of his era.
