What a fantastic film. I believe this has to be among my top 5 favorite movies. The lighting is gorgeous and both Karloff and Lugosi portray their characters with such realism. To hear Dr. Vollin (Lugosi) talk of Poe and his love for Jean...it's beautiful.

Dracula 3.5 Stars
Being a classic horror film, I think everyone should see it regardless.
Just the fact that you see Lugosi at his (American) peak is reason enough, but also I feel Dwight Frye is another. His portrayal as Renfield is genius; only he could play a madman in such a way you feel for him and see the extent of his torment.
Yes, it's dated in parts and was made before studios knew how to make sound films effectively. Still, it's well-worth your time and defiantely enjoyable.
