I chose to watch this movie completely based on cultural necessity. I knew it was considered it was considered a classic in its genre, so I finally decided to watch it, but I didn't really expect to enjoy the experience. I just expected a lot of mindless sex and violence.

I was wrong. This movie is sweet.

I cannot expess in words how much I enjoyed this movie. I can't remember the last time I was so completely blown away when I left the theater. My expctations were exceeded on every level. Nothing short of genius.

Probably my favorite Lord of the Rings movies.
