Not sure what to say about this movie, it's pretty interesting in it's very own mixed up way. This one combines both past and present, and it revolves around a supposedly mentally challenged father (Anthony Hopkins) who was a brilliant mathematician and his daughter (Gwyneth Paltrow) who aparently inherits his mathematical skills and passion for the numbers. Just add Jake Gyllenhaal to the story and you get this very entertaining movie. ENJOY

Oh...what a tragic life,and what a great style of acting!!Marion Cotillard is a genius.She deserved the academy award for best actress.

Meet the Spartans

Spartans rule, HAROO HAROO HAROO, but these guys suck ass!!! I have no idea why i thought i was going to like this movie. Scary Movie series were the best parodies i've seen, Date Movie and Epic Movie we're good too, but this one has no connection between the vast diversity of movies it spoofs. From 300, Spider-Man 3, Transformers to Happy Feet and Ugly Betty not to mention makes a mockery of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan (i thought this was a very bold move so this is the first reason i rated it 2.5 stars:D). The second reason would be, because this movie actually got a few laughs out of me, but i do tend to laugh out of everything.LOL. This one is not well constructed, but at least there were a few good actors like Kevin Sorbo and personally i think that Carmen Elektra can't act for shit but she's hot and that matters nowadays. Overall this movie bored me, but at least i'm glad i didn't spend any money on it.

So, unfortunetly the bottom line is, THIS MOVIE BLOWS, pretty bold of the director to try and spoof a great film like 300, too bad it's nothing much. I was also going to say it was pretty short but watching it i was wondering "is it over yet". Really hope that Superhero Movie is not going to be as poor as this one.

The Chumscrubber

Now this is one is messed up. And that's exactly what makes this movie so great. A very very interesting drama-dark comedy, about the perfect life in a modern day suburbia and the not so perfect hidden personalities and issues many of the people have, had or will eventually develop.

Dean (Jamie Bell) a normal teenager finds his best friend hanged. He doesn't bother to announce the tragedy because he thinks nobody cares. Dean's dead friend Troy was the one who was selling drugs to all of the highschool, so some other characters (already too many spoilers), think that Dean knows where Troy kepy his stash, and from here on their lives will change.

The typical perfection found in a perfect suburbia that looks amazing from the outside but which is actually burning in the inside. Awesome movie with very good acting, and a lot of pottential.

Out of Time

and here i thought i've seen all of Denzel's movies. Anyway no too much to say about it, a typical thriller movie, a cop gets framed, makes a few mistakes, ends up doing business with the wrong people.....been there, done that:P Nothing in particular about this one, but of course a very entertaining action packed movie with great actors including the very beautiful Eva Mendes.

Appleseed Saga: Ex Machina

This one is even better that the first. Since it's been around 3 years since the first release in the Appleseed saga, this one begins with a glimps of the first movie. Well in this one we've got used to the characters, the differences between the three different races (human, Bioroid and cyborgs) is definetly gone, but a much stronger, smarter enemy rises that tries to take over Olympus (the name of the wonderful utopia). I noticed some impovements in special effects, but i'm glad the same colours, scenery, attitude and mainly the same very elaborate and complicated story was kept from the previous movie. A movie produced by John Woo that is a real pleasure for your eyes. Deffinetly one to check out (but anyway it all comes down to different opinions and taste) If a fan of Final Fantasy series, this will come like a blessing. Hope this is not the last. ENJOY:D

Being There

An effective and high-level movie.It is a tragedic comedy!Peter Sellers shines as Chancy gardener.Unfortunately he didn't won oscar for his performance(I think Dustin Hoffman won the oscar of that year)and died one year later.He was one of the most talented actors of his generation.God bless him!see the last masterpiece of Peter Sellers.

Appurushîdo (Appleseed)

This anime is visually breathtaking, with a whole new futuristic Utopia and amazing scenery. The perfect world built for "the perfect human being" (as if there will ever be one), and ever since the dawn of time everywhere where perfection is being built there's always a catch, no matter what human beings it's all about NOBODY is perfect:D. Found this anime by mistake and i'm really glad i stumbled upon it. It's unlike anything you've ever seen. So much detail to everything, so much spirit and feelings, this is one animation movie that has more, well just more than many movies i've seen. Screenplay is great, i'm not sure about the actors cuz i watched in an english dubbed version, but no matter, deffinetly worth it anyhow you decide to watch it. So if you sometimes feel like watching a great animation movie, and incredible sci-fi story with incredible sfx, this would be the right choice (like i said, personally i'm an sfx junkie). Really hope the sequel will be at least as good as this one. Can gardly wait. ENJOY

The Eye

This movie is just one of those highly underrated movies. Personally i loved it. Haven't experienced twitches on my seat since i first saw The Amityville Horror (2005). This movie's connection with the spiritual world only thru some pair of eyes is brilliant. I did not see the jap version of it but this one kicks ass. Many spooky stuff at least until you figure out what's happening and from there you can relax (unfortunetly). I only have one problem with the movie when it nears the end, it somehow reminds me of Final Destination (any), and that's not good, but i ain't gonna spoil it for you. This one deffinetly needs checking out. A strongly built character that is blind (obviously) and has a change of eyes that will change her life, let her see the unseen part of the world, the world of the dead, in a very realistic way. Awesome:D Beware: MUST watch in the dark, lights off, door shut for better effect. I admit in the first half hour i kept watching my back every 5 minutes:))).

North Country

Incredibly shocking movie especially when you know it's based on a true story. Between those years '70 -'80 i guess women were just treated like scum or simple sex slaves cuz the men sure as hell didn't think that they can work in a cole mine. This movie is all about a woman (Charlize Theron) who gets abused at her working place, the mines and has nothing to do about it, she was one woman against hundreds of men. Anyways she finds this lawyer that decides to help her in the lawsuit that eventually was going to become one of the most well known lawsuits and wins eventually, the landfill even respect which was pretty hard to get those days, being a woman i mean. Some very good and known actor names, a great story up to it and some impressive acting especially from Charlize Theron. Great movie, watch it, or whatever:D it's GOOD:D

Monster House

Well i know this is a great success and had plenty of nominees, but there's plenty of other animation movies i liked a whole lot better. Don't get me wrong this one rocks too but the idea of a walking breathing house didn't strike so well to me. But i did like the effects (i'm an sfx junkie), they were great and the story was very good too, a whole realistic world built around this monster house. There's also lots of great actors that put their voices to the test, without them this animation would have been squat, hell that goes for any animation movie.LOL:P Anyways good fun, i liked it, and you should see it, and the main reason to do that is....IT"S DIFFERENT:D ENJOY

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep

WOW such an incredible magical and mystical movie of what actually seems to be the very well known Loch Ness Monster, and every "monster" has to be small sometime for it to grow up like this. I guess it has to be one of the cutest movies i've seen this year so far (personal opinion). This movie tells the story of a legendary creature, a water-horse, not even hatched yet, and the story of the little scottish lad that lived to see it, ride it, and tell wonderful stories about it to those who seek it. OK now for real this creature looks impressive, so there's awesome sfx, brilliant scottish accent, very good acting from Emily Watson, Ben Chaplin and others that gave life to and all around this movie. The action takes place in the past while the war was still, well WAR, and this small family gets a surprise from the army, a very unpleasant one. Great family movie, people could learn a lot from this one, well i mean those who need to be shown that ever since the beginning of time, we are the true monsters, the man is deffinetly the true monster in this movie. (or then again maybe it's just my bullshit talk again LOL:biggrin:, kiddin) I like it, maybe you will too. FIND OUT:D

Life Is Beautiful (La Vita è bella)

Great...Great...Great...a beautiful movie about war...it shows us that all of our life is a game...the important thing is to know the rules of the game...if we know the rules,we win!And Guido Orefice won the game. a great performance of Roberto Benigni.I can't forget Guido's face and smile!

There Will Be Blood

Not as good as it is publicized!I don't know why IMDB's users voted this movie like this!!I don't mean it's a bad film.but it isn't also a good one.and however Daniel Day Lewis is brilliant and shines here,but i prefer Johnny Depp's performance in Sweeney Todd and i think Depp was a better choice to win the oscar.and don't forget it's good ending.i like it.Oh i forgot one thing.There will be blood is a useful movie for an oil student like me!!

Lost In Translation

it is a good film and its ending is great.murray and johansson shine in this movie.especially bill murray.
