The Silence of the Lambs 5.0 Stars
One of my favorite films. Its not just a scary movie or a msytery movie but a combination. Jodie foster is amazing but the best part of the movie is Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lector who is not only my favorite character ina ny film but is also arguably the greatest villian in cinematic history. Lector is a highly intelligent romantic talented doctor that just happens to be a psychopathic killer. Thomas Harris's novel is creative and orginal and deserved this movie to be as good as it was. arguably the best film of the 90's.

Good Will Hunting 5.0 Stars
I was very happy with this film. It truely shows matt damons talent in this building and I can see how this movie launched his carrer. Robin Williams also gives his best acting performance in my opinion. My favorite part of the movie is the script and the creation of the character Will. A great accomplishment for such a young actor like Damon.

Seven (Se7en) (1995,  R)
Seven (Se7en) 4.5 Stars
One of the greatet murder mystery movies of are time that truley raises the bar. arguably one off the greatest endings of all time. With a all star cast of Brad Piit, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey and Gwyneth Paltrow ,the acting is this move is brilliant . Can get a little borning at times but keeps you intersted with the gruesome deaths of the victims. It is very hard these days to come up with such a creative and orginal storyline that keeps the audience entertained. My favorite part of the movie is the script and Kevin Spacey's short but brilliant dialouge. This disturbing story is all that i hoped for and more.

American Beauty (1999,  R)
American Beauty 4.5 Stars
This film is one of the most intersting films I have ever seen. It is filled with deep characters that can be related too. There is so much in this film. The most imporant is the theme of how much beauty there is in the world but a side theme that I found was jsut as intersting was who truley was a "freak". It is used many times throughout the film and by the end you don't even know who the real "freak" is or if there even is such thing as a "freak". The acting is phenominal through all parts(Bening, Cooper, Spacey, Suvari, Bakula, Birch, and Bentley). A truley orginal film that is a 90's classic.

Training Day 4.5 Stars
Went into the movie with fairly high expectations and they were exceded. Not only is Denzels acting performance great but the storyline and message are so reall and well portrayed throught the movie. This shows a bit of denzels versatility. Denzel createst a real and full cirlce character. It does get a bit carried away with action at the end but other than that there isnt anything else worth mentioning that brought the movie down. This movie has drama, action and comedy. The whole package.

Cidade de Deus, (City of God) 4.0 Stars
This movie is a great example of the importance of movies in our society today. A movie has the power to go past the point of entertainment and show you a part of the world you never knew existed. City of god is Babel meets Blood Diamond but was made before either. City of God is a huge accomplishment and is one of the top films of the last 10 years.

This movie turned out better than I expected. Brillant script and the acting is amazing. Great story and direction that keeps you interested. Well developed characters in which had both moments of drama and comedy. You cant go wrong with the all-star cast in the movie. Travolta and Jackson worked very well with each other. Tarintino shows his brillance through this movie

Remember the Titans 4.0 Stars
Titans is my perosnal favorite sports movie for a few diffrent reasons. First is the obvious brilliant acting by Will Patton and Denzel. The other reasaon is the atmospehere that the movie creates. The connection between the teammates, the music and the overall mood of the movie set a tone that is perfect for a high school football team. The racial barriers overcome in the movie are set well and are followed with powerful side stories throughout the movie. Sets the bar for sports movies.

Traffic 4.0 Stars
A great insight into the world of drugs. My expectations were met for this movie but it didnt blow me away. Even though it is a powerfull story it is not a story that has never been done before. I liked the intertwinning of the characters but again something that had been done before. The acting is amazing on all parts. overall I thought it was a good movie that just fell short of a great movie.

American Psycho 4.0 Stars
American psycho is one of the most puzzling films in several aspects. One of the first movies ive seen with a open ending(debateble). While american psycho is a very smart and entertaing film I would have preffered a final resolution to the film. Bale was born to play this character as his acting is perfect. American Psycho is a hard to film and doesnt fall into any one category but if you want to see a indepth look into a serial killers mind this is the movie to see.

Die Hard 4.0 Stars
One of the greatest action movies of all time. This movie has no genious plot or creative new storyline but it does enetertain you throughout the film. The influnce this film has had on action movies as we know it is tremendous. It goes a step beyond the bad action films of the 80's with the help of Willis acting and minimal cheesy lines. Even if you dont like the movie you have to appreciate this movie started Willis carrer in film.
