Movies don't get much cooler than this. It is a guy movie through and through, but its not some mediocre piece of crap. It is actually rather inspiring to watch these men take on an army over 30 times their size. The look of the movie is very unique in itself. Taking techniques from Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Sin City to form another great movie almost completely computer generated outside of the actors. The end is very good, but many which it happened differently. Though I know from experience, that if it did happen differently, people would want it to end the way it did.

Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl

One genre of films which you do not see a lot of are pirate movies. This could have helped the success of this movie. No one would have seen a high quality, big-budget pirate movie. Disney really pulled out all the stops on it's stars. There are a huge range of talent here from big stars like Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, to talent from the likes of Jonathan Pryce, Geoffrey Rush and Jack Davenport. The story is beautifully written. There are some great scenes with some wonderful witty dialogue. The special are impressive too with the skeletons looking so creepy with their creeping bones. Everything about this film was perfect and a fantastic start to the trilogy.

One of the most famous films ever made. This is another contender for best performances by the entire cast along with The Godfather. John Travolta was awesome as Vincent Vega and so was Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield. Bruce Willis and Uma Thurman were very good in this masterpiece. This is Quentin Tarantinos best film. I cant believe the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 1995 didnt go to Samuel L. Jackson. Well, he was the favourite to win it. As far as Best Picture is concerned, the favourites were this, Forrest Gump and The Shawshank Redemption. But when the ceremony went underway, it was going to be either Forrest Gump or this. But the award went to Forrest Gump in the end (Yes!), even though I still love this film. I knew John Travolta wasnt going to win Best Actor and I thought that Uma Thurman was going to win Best Supporting Actress. This is a really graphic film. Not as graphic as Kill Bill though. I love the phrase from the Bible which is Ezekiel 25:17 that Jules says when he is about to kill somebody particularly the scene in the café near the end of the film. I just love this film because it is like so original, the script is absolutely superb, the general way of the characters, and the quotes that they come up with like the Bible quote and the burger. This film will be a masterpiece for generations to come.

The Ant Bully

its a good feel movie! story about a kid who was magically turn small, so that he can understand the hard life about being an ant, that he like to disturb mostly.. with the voice of julia roberts, nicholas cage and meryl streep, this one is a good cartoon to watch!

Beverly Hills Chihuahua
by MeshWhy this movie is considered bad, I'll tell you :
1.The plot is mediocre at best.
2. The direction, dialogue, etc have been used.
3. Raja Gosnel is a damn bad director, don't give him any more projects!
4. Over long movie, it's crazy just for a stupid kiddy flick!
But, if you like dogs and other 'cute' animals you might want to give it a try on DVD!
PS: Jamie Lee curtis choose this movie? she really doesn't have much offer, does she?!
4/10.Share the same cheesiness as other kiddy movie, watch it on your own risk!

Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark)
by MeshThe first installment of the most successful movie in the world, Indiana Jones starts with a great opening scene, and continues with enjoyable adventure!
While watching Indiana Jones i just feel completely awe, this is the beginning of a great cinematic direction!
The story is a bit confusing, but Spielberg maintain in such way, that hands down this is one of his best direction, period.
The movie contains many humorous scenes, great action and acting, combine with one of the most adventurous movie ever.
The plot of Lost Ark comes as tacky to me, and it's right. the ark is that small?!
plot centers around how Indy with his sweetheart, Marion try to find the Lost Ark before it goes to the hand of the Nazis. it's the same old fashion, good guy and bad guy but the way of directing by the Genius Spielberg make this movie not boring and lame. i am sure I'll re-watch it again soon.
The direction is great, but left many plot hole (Heck, what you expect from a 80's movie!)
Plot hole: The biggest and funniest is, Lost Ark in Cairo? and Nazi's in Cairo too?
LOL.
But that doesn't over-shadow the brilliant direction, like the first temple scene, or chasing scene in Cairo or maybe the Snakes scene. The humor added here was even great, it doesn't come out as tacky, and surprising for me i keep laughing over and over.
Didn't know the 80's movie can be so much enjoyable. :)
Harrison Ford is the best Indy ever, he is great, don't need to say more. I love Karren Allen, she is so sweet to be true.
Favorite quote; Toht (the evil geologist):
'You Americans, you're all the same. Always overdressing for the wrong occasions...!'
9/10.For the one who have watched this, re-watch it! =)

October Sky
by BrianEvery once in a while a gem drops outta no-where. October Sky is one of those gems.
Released in 1999 and Staring Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Cooper, this flick tells the True Story of Homer Hickam. A boy with dreams of building rockets.
The story takes place in the 1950's in a small mining town in WV. Without much support and with a lot of ridicule, Homer tries to overcome his situation and live his dreams.
You might be thinking..."blah blah blah, another feelgood movie". But thats OK...I would have thought that also. I almost changed the channel when this flick came on. I am Glad I didn't !
This is a great Flick and even better that its a true story. Homer Hickam went on to become a engineer at NASA and MUCH more.Hey, IM A Rocket Man!

Sixteen Candles
by CarlWow, im suprised i liked this movie. The story was actully pretty good. The acting was realistic also. Its a good movie. Yeah you cant say much about this movie. THe acting was good, the story was good. And it had a good ending. Jeez i wish i had more to say about this. This is a CLASSIC tho. Did yal notice the fact that this movie should've been a low rated R or a high rated PG-13? The content of this movie was too bad for PG. Too much cursing brief nudity, and suggestive contentt. Not something i would wach with lil ones..actually i wouldnt care.
Overall this was areally good movie. Give it a watch one day.For all yall that hink i watch movies every hour on the hour, yall wrong. Most of the time i review movies ive already seen. When im bored on the internet i review movies for fun. Sometimes i do review movies after i watch them. This movie ive seen awhile ago and im reviewing it now. i just wanted to make that clear.

Sukiyaki Western Django
by DeanFour decades after Seigo Leone pinched Kurosawa's Yojimbo to make A Fistful of Dollars. Director Takashi Miike has smuggled the story back to Japan. It's a mash-up of Leone spaghetti western and post-apocalyplic samurais, with even a bit of Baz Luhrmann razzle dazzle thrown in.
The resulting action is frenetic, inventive and plenty. And check out the cameo performance by Quentin Tarantino.Hey, you should really see this!

Låt den Rätte Komma In (Let the Right One in)
by CarlI was struggling between giving this movie 4 1/2 stars or 5 stars. This movie was just great and i loooved it. Its about a boy that got a problem wit bein bullied likes this bizzare little girl who is a vampire. Its a really "cute" and good love story mixed wit a lil horror annd some bloody violence. I liked the acting alot from everyone. Especially the boy, the girl, and the bullies. Kids rule this movie, yet its rated R. Now you kno if u want to make a really really good movie then hav a really good romance story involving little kids. Jeez i loved this movie alot. The reason i didnt give this 5stars bcuz its a forign film and you gotta read subtitles. If it wasnt for that and a few errors this movie would be perfect.
There were some scenes where you would want to say "awww" and some scenes might make u scream. THeres a part where they show the girl's vagina. All i hav to say about that part is..ewwww. OVERALL ITS A GREAT MOVIE AND YOU WILL LOVE IT. I SURE DID.YALL HAVE GOT TO SEE THIS MOVIE B4 U DIE, ITS REALLY GR8 AND U AN WATCH IT FOR FREE ON http://www.watch-movies.net/movies/let_the_right_one_in/ ITS A GREAT MOVIE!!!

Mamma Mia!
by DeanThis musical-comedy based on the Broadway musical, and inspired by the music of ABBA is spectacular that stirs up tears and laughter as two women tell of their rollercoaster love lives - mostly through song.
Amanda Seyfried is terrific in the lead role. Meryl Streep is equally brilliant and very funny as well as her singing and dancing are wonderful. And amazing cast, including Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgard, Colin Firth with Julie Walters and Christine Baranski as Meryl's mates. I felt like my feet bopping away several times throughout this movie!Hey, you should really see this!

Quantum of Solace
by MeshQuantum of solace give a good, brief (very fast movie) action / bond movie. i really like this dark tale of James Bond.
In this movie you will not see cars, flashy scenes, gadget? and Bond doesn't bang many girls too, but it's a good movie. despite it's out of resource material, Mark Foster (director) gives us a different look of how Bond movie could be.
The story outline is average, some plot holes.
Direction was good, i thought i was going to be dissapointed by Marc Foster direction, as he made 2 bad movie (M.B & KITE RUNNER), but i think he have outgrown himself and can make a decent job!
Not much action in this flick, but there are few scenes which will make your eyes pop out.
Daniel craig AKA; the blond bond gave a terribly good performance, i liked it.
Olga kurylenko, damn damn damn HOT!! ;)
Judi dench need a serious retirement, give us a young version please!
Overall a good action flick, better then; Indy jones 4, Hitman or bad review Max Payne?!
7/10.The continue tale of Blond Bond! :P

by HorrorAs gory as 'Child's Play', but staggeringly even more hilarious and imaginative. Brilliant, brilliant horror film that I'm almost tempted to give five stars.
