Moon
by AnnaGenre; Science fiction
Cast; Sam Rockwell, Sam Rockwell, Kevin Spacey
In case you are bored to check out flixster's page about "Moon" here is the summary; Astronaut Sam Bell has a quintessentially personal encounter toward the end of his three-year stint on the Moon, where he, working alongside his computer, GERTY, sends back to Earth parcels of a resource that has helped diiminish our planet's power problems.
One great performance by Sam Rockwell... and... yeah that's all I guess...
In my reviews, all I really do is writing about the feeling the movie gave me and honestly this time I got dissapointed... Where is the extraordinairy plot?! Where is the suspense and the mystery the trailer gave me the idea I will experience? In conclusion, it's a decent movie, you are not gonna get bored or something like that, but you may get dissapointed, if u expect too much(so I think my review will do some good lol since I prepair u for this)posted 58 days ago -

Le Pacte des loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf)
by RobertRealized that I had only rated this and not reviewed it, so watched it again (the "directors cut" this time) and was instantly reminded of just how beautifully shot this film is.
While it is not without it's flaws, it is very well done. And though the main premise of the story is "Baskerville-ish", it is nicely enveloped with enough French history, martial arts and lush costumes and sets that (for the most part) it is easy to overlook.
My only complaint would be with some of the CGI effects regarding "the beast". They were a bit low budget at times. But again, there is SO much other really great stuff to be said for the film, that it is pretty easy to overlook those few moments of bad CGI.posted 59 days ago -

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
by hawkRemarkable, original work, gifted narrative, deeply rich and palpable visualization, peppered with inspired sets of fascinating sequences, impressive, grand period opulence and gorgeous cinematography by Frank Griebe. Ben Whishaw a profoundly unknowable protagonist, brilliantly executed climax.

I recommend you see...If u like romantic comedies, sure u can watch it, u will propably like "The ugly truth"a lot... but if u don't, I am sure u will find something better to watch...
(I know I should have watched Harry Potter...At least it would have been better for me :-/)
The Ugly Truth
by AnnaI am afraid of romantic comedies like some people are afraid of horror movies... That's why it took me so long to decide to watch "The ugly truth". But I am a human too and I read some nice reviews about this one so I thought "yeah why not let's try". I was sure that it isn't anything special....and of course I was right.
Ok I admit there are some funny moments (but not that you will laugh your ass out). The chemistry between Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler is good and that's all... Another predictable romantic comedy which gets kinda boring in the middle... Yeah ok indeed it says the truth about men, but it's not something we didn't already know (sorry guys...I mean the truth about most of u).posted 61 days ago -

I Shot Andy Warhol
by RobertVery well done.
Really captures the look and feel of (what I would think) that whole "factory period" would have been like. Complete decadence on a totally supercial level.
Lili Taylor is brilliant as is the rest of the cast.
Don't get me wrong...Solano was completely unstable, but ultimately it's very sad in the sense that most of her "crazy" rantings seem to come true.
Self fullfilling prophecy...or perhaps there was a little truth mixed in with her madness?posted 63 days ago -

Law Abiding Citizen
by BrianGood movie that is, for once, not predictable. Jamie Foxx is actually likeable for once and didn't make me want to kill myself. And a little different role for Gerard Butler which is nice. Humorous cameo by the real mayor of Philadelphia. Us locals could spot him ;)

**********PLOT**********
Determined to elude a deadly virus, Danny (Lou Taylor Pucci), his brother Brian (Chris Pine), his girlfriend Bobby (Piper Perabo) and Danny's school friend Kate(Emily VanCamp) speed across U.S.A. to reach a beach, a place of possible safety.
**********REVIEW**********
Interesting...very interesting I have to say... Very satisfying performances from every single member of the cast which kinda turned this one to a drama rather than a horror movie (not that I have a problem with horror movies, I WANTED ZOMBIES!! lol). So although it's another "a virus will kill us all, run to save your life!!" movie, it's different because it emphasizes to the feelings of the heroes. It is a little slow, but don't worry I insure you that you won't get bored (you won't even notice it lol). The good atmosphere will make u feel that you are part of the movie, that may cause u some chills (or it was just the stupid air-conditioner of the cinema- why do they use "cold wind" at winter!? Uug I go to my cave make fire). Yes definately worths the watch. It reminded me a little bit of "28 days later" (which means only one thing; GOOOOOD).
PS. I loved the little girl's dad...Aaaww he was so nice :-( You will understand when u see the movie...posted 65 days ago -

Where the Wild Things Are
by hawkOut of the ordinary fantasy and somewhat Jim Henson homage with a down to earth script and equally natural cast. Magnificent sets shot in a way that makes them seem tactile, the creatures themselves are seamless, vocal talents Gandolfini, Cooper, Whitaker and Dano especially, verbalize their respective beasts' emotions with soul.

Fantastic Mr. Fox
by scottif your a fan of director wes anderson, he of such films as rushmore, royal tenubums and life aquatic, youll love this. all andersons trademarks are here, from the holding of the book, telling title at beginning, right through, catchy soundtrack, pans across, dry observations, and ecentric charactors, and dialogue coming from there mouths, its all present, anderson has magically, transplanted his world to animation, and stop motion too, george clooney as the fantastic fox is well suited, and a great supporting cast, including, meryl streep, bill murrey,, a exelent jason schwarzsman, who almost steals there show, the story is engaging, and although young kids might be put of by andersons style, lots of tallking, during beginning, it does turn into a adventure, but maintaining his wit and style, its been a long long time since i read the roald dahl novel, i was a kid, and read all his books,so cant say how much is changed, but as a film, i liked it a lot

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
by scotta entertaining light horror for teens that both they and adults can enjoy, 2 friends come upon a freakshow, and events take them to joining the underworld of vampires, john c riley is exellent as the one who takes one in, and teaches him, but with another gang, out to get the boy, its set for a showdown, some exellent touches throughout, nice c.g.i, and horror action, it never gets dull, as riley steels the show,

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
by scottterry gilliam visuals on full show here, with some exellent moments, when ledger died during filming, it was not known what was going to happen, but gilliam braiinstormed, tweked the script a bit,and called in jude law, colin farrell, and johnny depp, close friends of ledgers,to finish scenes, of his charactor, on otherside of parnassus's mirror, and it works great, the three getting ledger well, some amazing moments here, reminded me of gilliam films like baron monchausen, and stuff from monty python, the story isengageing throughout, and never dull, another slice of gilliam

Dead Snow (Død snø)
by scottnazi zombies, who needs them, as a bunch of medical students going for a break in the mountains find out, a slow start and crappy annoying charactors, gives this a slow start, butonce it gets going, theres great moments, andthe gore and violence is pretty inpressive, a charactor they chance on, explains why there could be nazi zombies walking around, but after that its all mayhem, death and blood, yes they could just be zombies walking around in the snow, being nazis doesentreally add anytthing, and indeed to story, but its diferent i guess,
