The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy 3. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy PG 4.5 Stars
This one is without a doubt one of the most bizarre movie I have ever seen. Though very strange I kinda like the movie and find it to be very joyful and lively; also without a doubt more than half the people wouldn't enjoy it. It purely base on the taste of each individual person. Before the earth is to be destroyed by alien, one man and his close friend hitchhike on the alien spaceship. That is when they whacky adventure around the universe begin. I like this movie because of its strangeness and how creative it is; really creative. Base on the story outside of this world and almost everything in this movie can't be seen like other movie. It is very unique and very interesting concept, though most of the concepts are more or less useless. And through out the movie the pace of the flick is very interesting and the casts work out just fine, in fact they all bring out the characters very well. The directing and the amount of detail is awesome, surpass expectation and way too good. The music and the CGI are brilliantly done. Recommendation: Want To See Something Strange and Funny, Watch This.
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events 4. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events PG 5.0 Stars
Have you ever seen a film and instantly in love with it, I meant really really enjoy yourself? Yeah that happen the first time I have watch this movie and it instantly becomes one of my favorite movies I have ever seen. IMHO, "brilliant" would still be an understatement. There something about this movie that is very compelling and no matter how many times I watch it, it is still that good. It is all sorts of things that make this film so good, - from the undeniable brilliant narrating of Jude Law, brilliant set, lighting, make-up, wardrobe to the breathtaking work of art at the ending credit. Another thing that can't be denied is the score of the film. It is unbelievably good. Jim did an awesome job as portraying Count Olaf, Stephano, and Captain Sham. He really deserve as least Oscar nomination for it. The orphans where also awesome, you can actually sense the closeness between the characters, especially Violet and Sunny. And another plus point is that the movie is carrying the mood and the heart of the book really well making it almost resemblance, which is rarely seen in most adaptation. I think it is brilliant with a very good English and wordplay. I know for the people who read the book, it might not be as good as it but for me it is brilliantly written. Recommendation: Buy The DVD it Worth Every Penny, especially commentary of Brad and Mr. Lemony, so funny!

Just a brilliant mesh of everything. sound, cinematography, acting, and everything else. I felt emotinally drained afterwards when the film ending. The film asks us if we have lived the way we want to live, and how we would respond if a unforunate situation would happen to us. Julian Schnabel's brillant direction puts us into Jean Do's view of life and through out the film we live through him going through his struggles of everyday. A highly original masterpiece that will make you want to watch it over and over as it absorbs into your skin.

A inside look at the behind the scenes work on Apocalypse Now. I felt it was more of a character study as Coppola fought to keep his sanity along with the cast and crew. Over 200 hundred days of shooting. Script rewrites, actor fees and health, a typhoon almost kept the film from being made but it was made after long hours of hard work. Great documentary into how far filmmakers go to keep their vision and their dreams alive.

A Wes Andersoneques picture that actually has more relatable characters and we feel towards them as they suffer loss after loss, but we feel their hope as they go through the movie trying to care for a individual that didn't care for them, Laura Linney did a solid job that did warrant the oscar nom, and Hoffman is just as great. Jenkins doesn't write her characters as one diminsonal, but she does use dark bitting humor that made me chuckle in parts. She has a bright future ahead of her.
