This is My favorite Russian movie and most rewatchable movie ever.
It's based by the novel written by my favorite author - Mikhail Boulgakov and casts one of my favorite actors - Yuri Yakovlev. If you don't know him check my favorite actors:)
I created a quiz about this movie and uploaded some pics. Check them out!
Very touchable movie. The actors were at the top and Alisa Freindlikh did great job though, I think, she was overacting. The songs are very sweet. (They were performed by the actors themselves)
There're three stories: the main one with the lead actors, the secondary one with Oleg Basilashvili and the story most people don't notice - secretary's tragedy with her husband with who she always discusses on the phone. The stories are very sad and the two of them end have the happy ending.
The movie has many funny moments so most people think it's a comedy. But that's the way Eldaar Ryazanov's movies are: they are tragedies but you can't notice it because of the comic situations which are very true and natural.
Not exactly my favorite but the most beautiful movie by Eldar Ryazanov.
It's based on a novel by Ostrovsky, it's a story about a girl from very noble but poor family.
Don't think about it as a Russian movie. Think about is as a MOVIE. Go and watch it. You won't be dissapointed.
It's got everything: complex characters, not less complex but also funny story. Great actors (especially the one who plays the cting coach). The car chase, one of the best ever made. Do you think it was easy to make such a chase in the 60th?
I love this movie, I love it. And I feel so bad because so many people haven't watched it and other are not interested just because it was made by Russian director. What a shame!!
I love this movie so much!
Not great but kinda good and very funny story. Awesome dances and great costumes. Great performance by Mikhail Pugovkin.
Also, my Ukranian blood tells me I have to love this movie:D
I like robbery movies and this one in particular. The dialog is one of the best, the acting is great. I feel like I'm with these guys when I watch this movie.
I must to say I'm a bit dissapointed. Of course I didn't expect the movie to be as great as the book was but some scenes could have done better. I guess I just don't see the book the same way the director does.
At first sight the image seems old and weird but that's exacly what the director wanted. He did it like the movie was made in the 20th (that's when the book was written).
I really like the actor who played the main role, I think he did it very well. And his character reminds me of one man I know. I'd say I watched the movie about him:)
The ending was awesome. When I read the book I wasn't sure if I understood the ending correctly but it's all crear now.
Very good movie. Reminds me of "The fogotten melody for a lonely flute" because of the sadness.
Very beautiful and true love story with the sad and not less trully ending.
And one of the best roles for Alexandr Abdulov and Olga Volkova.
Very touching, sweet and sad movie. I really feel for the both of them. It's really a love story of two people who couldn't be together. But at the same time I think that Maryl Streep's character made the right decision.
You can't imagine how much I cried when I watched it and I'm not the kind of girl who always cries or loves dramas.
Even so, I didn't like at all scenes where Francesca's daughter reads her diary and argues with her brother. It's such a lame!
One of the greatest movies I've ever seen in my whole life!
The actors were great (even Jack Nicholson). I think Mark Wahlberg's character was the most memorable in the whole movie. The music is awesome, I believe it's also the one of the greatest soundtracks.
And such an unexpected showdown and ending! I'm still shocked!
