A Few Good Men (1992,  R)
A Few Good Men 4.0 Stars
Just a good old fashioned political mystery. Tom Cruise and Demi Moore play lawyers trying to uncover the truth behind a soldier's mysterious death. Jack Nicholson delivers a solid performance as the General who may or may not know the truth behind the apparent cover-up. Definitely a must-see.

Wonderful fantasy about a man and his love of baseball. This isn't so much a movie about sports, but rather a story of second chances. Quite possibly the best feel-good movie ever made. A real winner.

The Green Mile (1999,  R)
The Green Mile 5.0 Stars
Just like with The Shawshank Redemption, director Frank Darabont brings another Stephen King novel to the big screen. And just like his previous film, The Green Mile is a brilliant and masterful work, featuring flawless acting, and an even-paced and thoughtful screenplay. It's not often a filmmaker creates two masterpieces one right after another. But Darabont does.

The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985,  PG)
The Purple Rose of Cairo 4.5 Stars
If Woody Allen ever felt the need to reward his fans with a wonderfully entertaining and all-around sweet movie, The Purple Rose of Cairo would be a perfect choice. The first time I saw this movie, I caught it half-way through on TV, and was so mesmerized by it, that I had to see it from the beginning right away. Once it was over, I was glad I did.

The Terminal 4.5 Stars
This is one of Spielberg's best. Tom Hanks gives one of his best performances in this simple yet elegant film that documents the life of a man trapped at an airport terminal for almost one year. Beautifully written, this subtle masterpiece is definitely worth watching.

Bill Murray is at his comedic best in this extremely funny movie of a neurotic patient who crashes his psychiatrist's vacation. The fun never stops, and neither do the laughs. Terrific comedy.
