Iron Man
PG-13
Good action, good cast, good humour. The SFX were okay for the most part, but there were quite a few scenes where I cringed in my seat at the obviously CG Iron Man. A little too unrealistic and far-fetched without any real justification. I'd be okay with it if it was set some decades in the future. Very predictable plot and dumbed down dialogue for the audience. However, it was still great fun. Oh, and stay till the end of the credits for a nice little nugget.
Street Kings (The Night Watchman)
R
A voilent, action-thriller about corruption and loyalty. I thought Keanu actually did a good job in the film and the supporting cast was also fairly strong. I particularly enjoyed the realistic gunshot damage..The story was fairly standard and predictable, but enoyable nonetheless.
Shooter
R
A satisfying action film with a decent cast and a suspenseful story. The pace was slow at times and the movie was probably drawn out a little too much. Overall, definitely worth a watch.
Stranger Than Fiction
PG-13
Fantastic. Such a bizzare story, with a script containing lines you'd not see in many other films. What an excellent supporting cast and Ferrell actually performs in this film. I particularly liked the seamlessly integrated visuals throughout the film.

PG-13
Decent cast, poor script, weak plot, poor visual effects. Just when you get into the movie, it ends. Potentially a great film, but unfortunately falls apart within the last 30 minutes.

1.
The Fifth Element
PG-13
One of my all time favourite films. Great SFX, great actors, great costume design and great music.
2.
Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
PG
My favourite of the Star Wars saga. We see Luke starting to become a full on Jedi, Han uses a lightsaber, Leia finally gets it on with Han and of course who could forget Lando. "The force is with you, young Skywalker... but you are not a Jedi yet."
3.
Serenity
PG-13
Was loads better than I expected. Great Sci-Fi. Now that I've seen all of Firefly, this makes even more sense and is that much more enjoyable. Love the action, love the camera work, love the acting, love the witty script.
4.
The Incredibles
PG
Simply the best computer animated movie to date. Not just because of the breathtaking scenery and effects, but for the story and family values presented too. My favourite Pixar film. The score is fantastic and the credits are the best I've ever seen in a movie.
5.
X2: X-Men United
PG-13
Brian Cox and Hugh Jackman do a fine performance here. This one has a bigger and better plot than the first. And I love the Special FX; better than ILM in my opinion.
6.
Galaxy Quest
PG
Brilliantly done. A comedy to parody Star Trek and the like, while easily standing on its own two feet. The casting couldn't have been better.

I recommend you see...
Iron Man
by KhrisNot bad.... probably one of the best Marvel movies. It was cool, edgy, smart and had a great cast. Have to admit the movie wouldnt be anything without Robert Downey Jnr, he was great, he made the Tony Stark persona great.
There was good moments and humor mixed in, and it was a good story which had a good pace, they didn't rush it which was a good sign.
The visuals are great... and seeing all that next gen technology is mind boggling... imagine having some of that stuff to play around with at home!! Though everyone would love to have their own Iron suit (actually made out of gold, titanium and diamond mix- hehehe).
Anyways, the action scenes are pretty good for what I expected, the final battle reminiscent of the great Optimus Prime/Megatron brawl in Transformers. Gwyneth Paltrow actually looked pretty good in this movie... I never figured her for the "sexy" look personally, but she pulled it off!
Anyways, great score and good camera work, noone misses anything.
All around.... its a definite keeper.
AND BTW, make sure you watch AFTER the credits.... and prepare to meet a VERY FAMILIAR character from the Marvel world (and actor) ;-)WE ALL DEFINITELY HAVE TO GET AN SUIT! Its on the top of my XMAS list.
