| (500) Days of Summer - PG-13 |
This is a movie for the one that have been hurt before, that knows what is a broken hearted, loved some one whole heartedly and at the end knows how to move on and leave it all behind. This is that type of movie that is rare, and i loved it because i can relate too. Tom: People don't realize this, but loneliness is underrated Without sounding sappy and broken, 500 Days Of Summer is just pure magic and a beautiful movie that means a lot. As watching this it's like rewinding what happened to me; it makes me wanna scream, shout, and punch the movie for bringing up this matter. Marc Webb's enchanting tale of not Love Story, tells you the true love a young man feel for a girl, that is odd, precious, cute yet cold. The doomed relationship's, the pain, the suffering, the feeling of lost that Tom encounter is unbelievably relatable, which makes it one of the factor i rate this movie so high. Summer: I woke up one morning and I just knew. Tom: Knew what? Summer: What I was never sure of with you. Joseph Gordon Levitt is flying high, he is extremely wonderful - best performance in romance movie ever. Zooey Deschanel; this strange-perfect gal' acts as if she is Summer, and leave you dry (wish to shot her in the middle of the movie), but the last scene changes all! You can't hate her, they're just not meant to be. Great supporting cast too (Minka Kelly is drop-dead-gorgeous). Rachel Hansen: Tom, I know you think she was the one, but I don't. Next time you look back, I think you should look again Marc Webber first full length movie (Don't you just love fresh director?!) got remarkable reviews and praise, and i Thank him for making this movie; what a gem and put all romance movies to shame! I'm sure i will rewatch it endlessly, and i appreciate this movie for the final scene; it gaves me hope. Narrator: This is a story of boy meets girl. But you should know up front, this is not a love story 10/10 |

| Born on the Fourth of July - R |
Born on the fourth of july tells you the real life story of Ron Kovic a Vietnamese veteran that got injured and lost both of his leg during the war. The movie starts by showing his early life, his ambitious achievements, his proud family - then it goes to Vietnam; the horrid things they did there and the post life after the war. The movie is long, but it's bearable in some way. Depressing obviously, honest and brutal; Oliver Stone capture the pain and lost during this time brilliantly, or maybe i need to give the 4 star to the main actor; Tom Cruise? Tom Cruise is still one of my fav actor, this guy knows how to act and delivered some great memorable movies through out his filmography, and to see him in one of his earlier career is awesome! He was nominated for Oscar, and i am certain he should have won. Decent supporting actors too. 8/10. |

| Traitor - PG-13 |
Traitor; sure it's long, sure it reminds us of TV series : 24, it has some cliche moment in several scenes. But this have everything of what i like in a movie. From the first scene, i was hooked and i kept guessing till the end. I kinda see the twist coming, but it was still presentable and well act. Don Cheadle is a great great actor! He did his job well, i hope he won some freaking Golden Statue in years to come. Guy Pearce was even good. Nice script, background music, cinematography. This gem is under-rated! 8/10. |

| Surveillance - R |
I heard about David Lynch, but never bother to look for his movies, and now his daughter is directing? well, i never thought Surveillance would be good or at least disturbing for that matter. I really enjoyed the movie, the way the movie goes - i read in other sites, how people complained about how slow the movie is; but well trust me i have watched slow movies, and this is not one of them. The build up tension was exhilarating; disturbing, sharp and the gore involvement was amazing. It was disturbing caused, you can't guess who is the good guy in the movie, no happy ending, and just plain harsh reality of the world - and that's what exactly what i like in a movie. Bill Pullman could easily be replaced, Julia Ormond did good - and so does the supporting actors. Not a long movie to watch, but surely memorable one. 8/10 |

| Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi - PG |
I think this is the best ending I've seen in a trilogy (Second to LOTR series..). Star Wars - Return Of The Jedi is a fun, long, adventurous, and yet with a cozy and heartwarming ending. We will see, Jabba The Hut for the first time - famous for it's yuck-ness. Soft side of Darth Vader, Death Star, Family secret, and so much more. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamil and Carrie Fisher made this movie. Great special effect, and John Williams background score is mesmerizing! Darth Vader: Luke... help me take this mask off. Luke: But you'll die. Darth Vader: Nothing... can stop that now. Just for once... let me... look on you with my *own* eyes. [Luke takes off Darth Vader's mask one piece at a time. Underneath, Luke sees the face of a pale, scarred, bald-headed, old man - his father, Anakin. Anakin sadly looks at Luke] Anakin: Now... go, my son. Leave me. Luke: No. You're coming with me. I'll not leave you here, I've got to save you. Anakin: You already... have, Luke. You were right. You were right about me. Tell your sister... you were right. [Anakin slumps down in death] Luke: Father... I won't leave you. 10/10 (bravo!) |

| City of Angels - PG-13 |
City of angels is a mature, honest, modern love story. Straight forward movies without any cliche, good script and powerful ending. Nic Cage; well i always thought he was good in the 90's, and this is one of the proves. He plays the character of an angel that fell in love with a human really well i must say, and powerful ending. My cutie Meg Ryan, love her as always - nice chemistry with Cage. I thought it would be all cheesy, but of course i was wrong. Give it a shot. (Better than 'The NoteBook' imo) 7/10 |

| Shelter - R |
Surprisingly Good! I can't stand watching Brokeback mountain , but i can see this one? why? well, they don't over dramatized it first of all. Just simple story about a guy who have a lot on his plate, he baby sit and practically taking care of his nephew, he has a drunk and lazy ass sister, couldn't full fill his wish to go to an art school, cause of his current condition. Came along a guy who sweeps him and change his whole life. Man, that sounds cheesy - but well it's not. Great acting from unknown cast, great ending. 9/10 |

| Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street - R |
Sweeney Todd, great script, amazing cast, powerful director, gore and fantastic setting - cinematography; so what is missing here? The musical. Alright, to be honest Musical always makes me clingy and wish to shot someone. and here is no different; the music sucks (yeah, i said it!) and sometimes too long and pointless. Come to the great stuff, what is so great? the gore and violence is outstanding, blend it with disturbing script and act you get one hell of a ride. Johnny Depp is just amazing, Helena's role is written for her only. Supporting cast was average, Alan Rickman was totally wasted here. I wish the movie could be shorter (2 hours musical, like yea right!) - but the last half an hour made it all. Tim Burton rocks! 8/10 |

| The Wrestler - R |
Great, great, great! i never thought i would ended up loving it, the movie is simple, real and true to it's core. Story about the inside look of Wrestler, and their life beyond it. Mickey Rourke should won Oscar (yes, another ranting from me!), maybe he played him self in the movie, but its better then the over reach Penn in 'Milk'. Oh, and one can't forget the stellar astounding supporting cast by Marissa Tomei. 9/10. |

| The Devil Wears Prada - PG-13 |
Based on a best selling novel, Devil wears Prada offers a fresh looks of fashion theme. The movie dwells with human moral and a fun ride in fashion world! The story is catchy, a secretary who manage to try her best to cope up with her crazy, selfish, and bossy employer! Performance: Miranda prestly played by Meryl Streep is genuinely guilty pleasure character ever! i loved her, she is so cunning that makes you want to rip her off! Anne Hathaway, surpasses her 'Princess diaries' era. she did good job. I think this is her stepping stone to the A - List chart. and dont forget the charming and silly, Emily blunt. Direction: dragging in the last part of the movie, over all satisfying. To close this review, just want to say that this is not a chick flick movie, in my definition chick flick is a movie that have crap romance in it, and there was none here. but if you still think it is, then screw you! :P 8/10. (guilty pleasure!) |
