Superhero Movie - PG-13 March 30, 2008

Night of the Living Dead - R Underrated for lack of political meaning. It is instead, simply a frightening, bloody, well made zombie film. March 18, 2008
N/A
The Killer Shrews - Unrated There are good bad movies, and bad movies where the cast just stand around interminably and babble. March 18, 2008
N/A
Shutter - PG-13 March 18, 2008

Alien Zone (Last Stop on 13th St.) - PG Strange anthology. Really nothing to recommend it from the obscurity it's gathered. The teacher and businessman segment are memorable to some point, but the whole film is just odd and sleepy. March 10, 2008
N/A
The Rocketeer - PG Retro style to burn and a cool story to go with it. Keene! Also, Rondo Hatton is in it. I don't know how that works, but he is.
I should note, the first time I saw this movie Jennifer Connelly's blouse caused me to start puberty. So, you know, show to your kids with caution.

Hell House - Unrated An interesting look at a controversial cultural phenomenon. I'm pro-Halloween of course, and find fundamentalism totally off putting, but the film does well at showing us real people. (Of course, all you DB's out there can feel free to paint people you disagree as broad stereotypes.) March 7, 2008

Zombi 3 (Zombie Flesh Eaters 2) - R Yowza, I heard this was bad but... my God! Almost makes Burial Ground look good! March 5, 2008
N/A
Jurassic Park - PG-13 I usually don't go for Speilburg's bubble-gum style, but 'Park' really is quite rousing. March 1, 2008
N/A
The Spiderwick Chronicles - PG Derivative, and stilted in parts, but weird in a good way. March 1, 2008
N/A
Mom and Dad Save the World - PG Dear God, and I like Jon Lovitz!
This sort of reminded me of the Fifth Element. That was supposed to be exciting but it made me want to laugh, this was supposed to be funny and made me want to drink.
February 26, 2008

The Maltese Falcon - Unrated Classic detective noir. Don't know why I put off seeing it for so long, knew I would love it. February 26, 2008
N/A
Hang 'em High - PG-13 Usually don't like westerns, but this one moves along quite nicely. Well drawn too, it's easy to understand where the "villains" are coming from. No one here is made of cardboard. February 26, 2008
N/A
After Midnight with Boston Blackie - Unrated Some rather embarrassing race humor, but otherwise an innocuous old time detective flick. February 26, 2008
N/A
Witless Protection - PG-13 February 22, 2008
N/A
Jesus Christ Superstar - G Oddly moving, despite some very silly scenes and general hippie pretension. (I have come to the conclusion that I will never understand my parent's generational culture.) February 18, 2008
N/A
Meet the Spartans - PG-13 It's not enough that a bunch of talentless alley rats got together to produce a movie which basically mocks the art of film, but I'm bombarded with howlingly retarded ads for it 50 times a day.
If this movie were a person, I would beat them to death with a bag of doorknobs, then pee on the body.

Yojimbo - Unrated So you thought Americans invented the action badass, huh? January 19, 2008
N/A
The Black Cauldron - PG A censored cut of a Disneyfied version of watered down Celtic fantasy series = about 3 minutes of interest in an 80 minute cartoon. January 9, 2008
N/A
A League of Their Own - PG December 27, 2007
N/A
Gattaca - PG-13 December 27, 2007
