Wow, im shocked..i didnt expect this movie to be actually as good as it was claimed to be. Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden delivers a spectacular performance, probably the performance of his career, as a soap manufacturer who is mutitalented..and bored. Durden meets Norton, an insomniac, problematic and severely misguided guy in life and decides to have fun. The story has an interesting and unanticipated twist..which makes it sooooo much better to watch. The quality of this movie just blows your mind, the amount of details, you just gotta pay attention from the very begining. My favourites are the lines from the movie, somewhat paradoxical yet humorous. This has got to be on of the best movies ever made.I have never been much of a Brad Pitt fan but this movie forces me to see him in a different light.
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
PG
John Hughes is brilliant! Ferris Bueller is the definition of fun. Bueller is an immensely popular boy in school who is everyon's go-to-guy, everyone seems to likes him except his sister. On the day that the movie begins, Ferris is faking a sick performance to get out of school on a particularly fine summers day. Matthew Broderick plays out this role to perfection with his boyish charms. The casting was applaudable, Alan Ruck, Ferris's neurotic best friend, and Mia Saram - the pretty girlfriend, Jeffery Jones- waiting to catch ferris in the act prinicipal help make this movie more easy to slde by. Ferris: [to the camera, after tricking his parents into believing he's sick] Incredible, one of the worst performances of my career and they never doubted it for a second. [opens blinds to reveal a beautiful spring day] Ferris: How can I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this? [begins fiddling with electronics to fake his voice] Ferris: This is my ninth sick day this semester. It's pretty tough coming up with new illnesses. If I go for ten, I'm probably going to have to barf up a lung, so I better make this one count.
