I recommend you see...You should maybe see this...
Were the World Mine
by Daniel"Shakespeare was queer, too!"
An early episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, called "Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered", had Xander perform a love potion, which backfiring - at first with welcome results - had seemingly the entire female population of Sunnydale suddenly in love with him. Typically for such a strongly written tv series, even this largely "throwaway" episode was wittily written, had some great ideas, and the after effects (especially Xander's relationship with a now betrayed Willow) were not ignored. Were the World Mine takes the central idea of a love potion, here magically found hidden within the text of Shakespeare's comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream, and spins it by having the formula attract people of the same sex. Obviously filmed on a low budget, I can only imagine how fantastic this would have been with just one more rewrite and a few million dollars chucked at it. Nevertheless, this is largely a huge success, is massively enjoyable and plays very well with Shakespeare's words - mixing styles together in clever ways. It works well as a musical - with imaginatively staged and choreographed routines - as a charming romance, as a comedy drama, and as a big two fingers up towards outmoded and outdated homophobic institutions, such as religious organisations and boarding schools (you can send your hate mail to bitemyass@gmail.com). It's also beautifully photographed. Best of all is the above average acting from all involved, which really took my surprise. Tanner Cohen as lead Timothy not only has the angst and hormones down pat, but also has a great singing voice (reminiscent of Jay Brannan). But special mention should go to the three leading women - Wendy Robie as the drama teacher, Judy McLane as Timothy's mother and Zelda Williams as Timothy's best friend, Frankie, who are all excellent. I urge you to watch this with some of your gay fearing friends and make them squirm. Now, where can I get one of them flowers?!

Låt den Rätte Komma In (Let the Right One in)

**********PLOT**********
Oskar is an introvert twelve year old boy, who has problems in school with some of his classmates. One day a girl at his age moves in next door and he falls in love with her. Well she is not exactly a... girl...
**********REVIEW**********
I honestly don't know how to rate this movie... I heard so many great things about this, so I guess it was a fact that I would be a little dissapointed (the expectations were big.) Besides that it was a good movie indeed... Especially if you are a fan of movies with vampires (yes lol the little girl is a vampire). I liked the fact that some different views about vampires were presented (***SPOILER***SPOILER***SPOILER***DON'T READ THAT ONE IF U HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE*** For example Eli couldn't enter the room unless someone invites her in, so I guess it makes sense why they named the movie "let the right one in"!Cool lol!)
U CAN CONTINUE READING lol
The soundtrack was good enough. The performances were fantastic (of course Kare Hedebrant as Oskar and Lina Leandersson as Eli stand out). The atmosphere was great. Yup, overall seems this movie works well.
PS. It's not a scary movie, but there are some cool and bloody vampire scenes ;Dposted 18 hours ago -

I recommend you see...Hey, you should really see this!
Wendy and Lucy
by EricA mesmerizing film of a young woman and her dog on their way to Alaska from Indiana in hopes of starting a new life by getting a job at a Northwestern fish cannery. When Wendy's car breaks down in a desolate Oregon town, her financial situation becomes much more of an issue due to the fact that she's on such an extremely tight budget. The cinematography is quite effective in the sense that it really catches a dour mood, and the haunting humming from Wendy comes and goes as somewhat of a reminder of how simplicity isn't always so simple.
Michelle Williams delivers a fine performance as Wendy Carroll who just can't seem to get ahead, and of course, Lucy, the dog ready to fetch what's thrown even if it takes her into the unknown, followed by her wistful companion.posted 1 day ago -

I recommend you see...3/5 Interesting & creepy, with good performances. What i find disappointing is to find out that what suppose to be actual footage shown in this film is fake, according to some who done research on this story.Perhaps for that reason i'm giving this film 3 stars.

I recommend you see..."Das Leben der Anderen" is another powerful German movie, showing the repressing and corrupted system supported by fear in East Germany in times of Cold War. This movie is practically perfect: the screenplay and story are engaging, disclosing a triangle of love that causes a political surveillance of an innocent man based on several characters that are perfectly developed. The pace is neither slow nor fast but very adequate, and uses an awesome cinematography. The performances are top-notch and the ending is one of the most powerful ones that I have ever seen.
Another great German movie!

I recommend you see...One must consider this was made on a shoe-string budget in 1957 and is about a mummy fighting a robot...kinda.
La Momia azteca contra el robot humano (The Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy)
by El HombreWith a movie title like that, how could I pass it up? By conventional standards this movie is horrible. By certain camp standards, it can be a lot of fun watching with friends. It has all of the right ingredients; a mad scientist named Dr. Krupp a.k.a. The Bat, a mummy looking for lost love, a damsel in distress, and a hero with a "Just For Men" hair-do. Most of the film is told in a series of flashbacks, which really doesn't matter since not much is happening on the screen at any given time. It's obvious the filmmakers tried to reach the feature-length running time by stretching out dialogue and other parts. The robot that Dr. Krupp creates is one of the most ludicrous screen creations I have ever seen. The robot legs (or robot pants) would seem to be the cheapest looking inventions ever, until the film features close-ups of the actual robot itself. Just when one thinks it can't get any better, there's the actual fight between the mummy "Popoca" and the robot . Too bad that most of the final thirty minutes of the film is spent with The Bat talking about how he will finally defeat the mummy and bragging about the robot he has made.
Overall, the Aztec Mummy trilogy (Curse of the Aztec Mummy, Attack of the Aztec Mummy and Robot vs. Aztec Mummy) are disappointing relics of Mexican cinema, but can still be enjoyable in a juvenile, brainless way. What these films lack in technical mastery, they make up for in cheap 1950s pop culture zeal ideal for late night viewing.
Is this a good movie? No.
Did I enjoy it? Definitely.

I recommend you see..."La Vie en Rose" is a hauntingly tragic representation of Edith Piaf's hauntingly tragic life. This masterful biopic succeeds in telling her story in a touching way.
The Best Actress Oscar winner was much deserving. Marion Cotillard delivers a staggeringly forceful performance as Edith Piaf. The rest of the cast were perfect. The setting and atmosphere are so authentic, the music so beautiful. The direction, cinematography and music make the film over all brilliant.
"La Vie in Rose" a biography of a woman whose life was not that rose kind of.

2012
by OscarAbsolutely awful for those who knows Roland Emmerich they should know how this movie is gonna be, a lot of destruction, lame screenplay and a movie lack of soul and great CGI.
