I recommend you see...Hey, you should really see this!
You should realy see this one in 3D in the cinema. One of the best if not the best movie from 2009.
Avatar
by AlfThis is clearly a movie to be watched in the cinema, with all visual achievements it has to offer. It's in a league above all other in visual effects. I watched it last night in 3D, and I has to say, WOW. James Cameron has done a awsome movie again, cant wait for Battle angel in 2011. In Avatar we are in the year 2154, as we follow Jake who is selected in the Avatar program where he has to go to the Pandora jungle, where he meets the Na'vi people. This is a humanoid race with their own culture not like the one mankind has it. This movie draws parallels to what happens in the world today.

I recommend you see...Hey, you shouldn't really bother seeing this - though you probably will.
Sherlock Holmes
by Mr.Guy Ritchie takes a break from directing shit movies to direct an almost shit one. Thank heavens for Downey Jr as he's the only good part of the film. For a movie about a detective with an amazing deductive mind the plot is basic as fuck, shockingly linear and has no subplot. Too much BANG, not nearly enough brain.

The Hangover
by EricHilarious flm about four friends who go to Las Vegas for a night they'll never forget, and perhaps never remember as a bachelor party goes awry including the misplacing of the groom to be.
Upon awaking after an unexplained evening that is unfolded as the film progresses, a tiger is in the bathroom, and a six-month year old child is in the closet of their luxury suite at Caesar's Palace. The clever storyline lets just enough out at a time to make this film a cinematic hangover that may just stay with you.posted 11 days ago -
I recommend you see...REMAKE COMING NEXT YEAR!
This film was included on the infamous 'Video Nasty' under the title, 'Exposé' aka. "House on Straw Hill". Like a lot of films on the list, this one doesn't feature a great deal in the way of gore. It does have a handful of bloody sequences, but nothing enough to warrant it's banning in my opinion.
Considering that it's a thriller, the film doesn't feature a great deal of tension, but the action is kept engaging by the way that it sets up the storyline. The film moves slowly, but in doing so is allowed time to let its characters grow and the plot to build.
A good exploitation thriller that will entertain and even surprise you on more than one occasion.

I recommend you see...Ho ho ho. Watch the grinch..? Or rather watch "Off Ways"
Elektrokohle (Von wegen) (Off Ways)
by aNovember 9th, 1989. The berlin wall is down..? Physically yes. Mentally no. There is still border control and stasi operational. The public is confused, some to the point of disbelief.
Follow Einstürzende Neubauten's trip, when they're finally allowed to play in east berlin, through border checkpoints and into east berlin to play for a marginalized youth that so far had to settle for smuggled cassettes with Neubautens music. Follow them into a place of neglect and discontent.
And then see the same places, the Elektrokhole factory that made the stage, and interviews with the concert goers all 20 years later. Do you think it's all good now? Do yourself a favor, if you like the band, if you're historically interested or if you just want to see a really good documentary and see this one.posted 11 days ago -

By the way I don't like Christmas either, but I wish u all to have a great time...
Avatar
by AnnaHow much money were spent on that? A waste! Absolutely a waste...
Plot? Boring! Performances? Nothing special! Special effects? Ok I suppose they were good, but what happens when u sit on the crappiest seat on the cinema like I did? What happens then, when u are not able to enjoy the special effects? I will tell u what happens. You get bored, you grab your seat and u say;"Ok be patient, it will be over in a while", but it's not over, so u grab your hair and u say ;"Ok be MORE patient, you can make it though! U paid 12 euro to watch this crap on 3D and u will stay the distance!" It wasn't even a cool movie, damn! About the race of Navi... They were rediculous! By the way Sam Worthington was cuter as an Avatar than he was as human.... An episode of Lost is 1,000,000 times more interesting than this movie, holy shit even Desperate housewives are more interesting
Cry James Cameron, CRY!
You all just feel sorry to say that the movie was lame, because he spent so much time and money on it.posted 12 days ago -
I recommend you see...Strange cult horror movie with pleasingly effective moments, but lots of logic loopholes.
It kept my attention. Worth seeing.

I recommend you see...The movie was okay. Not a lot of really funny scenes. Some of the trailers have spoiled the punchlines. Some parts felt really boring and hard to watch, its sort of a mix up. This movie isn't all that bad but surely its not that great. Also many parts were really stupid and not funny.

Elephant
by El HombreElephant is not a film for everyone. It is slow moving, occasionally awkward, and unsettling. The structure of Elephant is one of the things that make this effort intriguing to watch. In a Rashomon like style, you follow each of the "characters" during the course of the day that will change their world. A gliding steadicam follows students in uninterrupted shots between class with a false sense of security as they carry on with day to day activities. The film is bare bones in its simplicity. There is no real plot, it is just an ordinary day at school, until it's not.
Van Sant makes no attempts to lay the blame of the impending tragedy onto anyone, or anything, in particular. He does point to certain factors that could have led to the horrifying conclusion leaving the viewer with their own opinions and could offer plenty to talk about with others.
