In my opinion, simply one of the finest films ever made. A great addition to the Star Wars saga, it builds on the first film's successes and manages to improve practically everything (even Mark Hamill's acting and the dialogue). It also includes one of the biggest "Oh my god" shock moments since Hitchcock's films first hit the cinemas. Full praise to the director (Irvin Kirshner), the writer(s), and of course, who could forget John Williams? The best part of the film is the soundtrack, and in a movie as good as ESB, that truly is saying something.
