"Hate is baggage. Life's too short to be pissed off all the time. It's just not worth it. "Powerful, shocking and most of all, real.
Edward Norton gives a blistering performance as Derek Vinyard and is definitely one of his best performances by far. You hate him at first because he's a Nazi but when he reforms you start to sympathise with him.
Edward Furlong, who played younger brother Danny was an excellent addition to the cast and might be the only film in which he truly delivers. I felt sorry for him at times because he was following his older brothers footsteps.
American History X is a groundbreaking drama about the tragic consequences of racism.

"I get this ache... And I, I thought it was for sex, but it's to tear everything to fucking pieces."Clever and original. The use of puberty and lycanthropy is outstanding. I can watch it anytime and it's still like Brand new.
Katherine Isabelle and Emily Perkins had amazing chemistry on screen and portrayed close-knit sisters Ginger and Bridgette beautifully.
Ginger Snaps should definitely be considered as a modern classic in the near future.

"It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything."Just as the credits start rolling to the sound of Stealing Fat by The Dust Brothers, you know you're in for a ride.
Edward Norton gives another stellar performance after American History X. This time he's playing The Narrator, an office employee who suffers from insomnia. Keep an eye out for the scene were he beats himself up in his boss' office, it's fucking mental!
Tyler Durden played by Brad Pitt has to be one of my favourite characters in film, he's so random and retro. This is the first time I actually appreciated Brad Pitt's acting. He was made to play Tyler, that's for sure.
Helena Bonham Carter was perfectly cast as Marla Singer, I would've killed to play her character.
As for the co-stars, Meat Loaf and Jared Leto were superb in the short roles they had.
Fight Club is David Fincher's masterpiece. The soundtrack also adds to it's brilliance. The twist in the end hits me like a ton of bricks everytime I watch it.

"I have all the characteristics of a human being: blood, flesh, skin, hair; but not a single, clear, identifiable emotion, except for greed and disgust. Something horrible is happening inside of me and I don't know why. My nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip."Intense, disturbing and twisted. I couldn't have asked for a better actor to play Patrick Bateman as brilliantly as Christian Bale did. I felt sorry for the sick ass hole at times, he was that bloody good. I simply can't stress it any further, he truly delivers his best performance.
My favourite scene are when Jared Leto is at Bateman's apt. and when Bateman is in the gents with Luis, I couldn't stop laughing though that entire scene.
American Psycho is one of those films which is beautiful in that fucked up way. An intense and disturbing satirical comedy you simply have to see for yourself.

Juno
(2007, PG-13)
"As far as boyfriends go, Paulie Bleeker is totally boss. He is the cheese to my macaroni. And, I know that people are supposed to fall in love before they reproduce, but... I guess normalcy isn't really our style." A fresh and quirky coming of age comedy.
Juno is a very sincere and lovable character who grows on you. Ellen Page was simply amazing, I loved the way she said her dialogue. Jason Bateman was a nice choice to play the cool and laidback Mark. Part of me wanted Juno to get together with Mark but it wouldn't be acceptable.
It was cool to see Emily Perkins in a teeny little part as the receptionist. She's a talented actress Canada, give her bigger roles!
Overall, a delightful little film that walks us through Juno's decision regarding her pregnancy. Neat soundtrack too.

"Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?"The Matrix centres around a computer hacker named Neo who discovers that life Earth is nothing more than make-believe.
The story follows a computer hacker named Neo, who discovers that the world around him is not as it seems until he is contacted by the enigmatic Morpheus who then leads him into the real world.
Keanu Reeves truly made Neo his own. The costumes he dons and the action sequences he and his co-stars take part in were a feast for the eyes.
A sci-fi with a difference. Spectacular special effects with the memorable "bullet time" sequence. Easily one of the best films of 1999.

The ultimate teen witchcraft movie.
One of my all time favourite films. Fairuza Balk was amazing as the evil Nancy. I really liked Robin Tunney as well.

A very intense and powerful movie which revolves around Harlan, a cowboy and Tobe, a rebellious teen. Here Edward Norton plays a very different character compared to his other movies. Evan Rachel Wood was outstanding as usual, she suits these kind of roles perfectly.

You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. The Dark Knight has got to be the best film of 2008 by far. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker has left me speechless, but I'll talk more about him later on.
Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/ Batman once again. He is now more in control of his alter ego. This time he joins forces with district attorney Harvey Dent doing the best he can do protect Gotham City from the criminal underworld. What's more to say for Bale? He was made to play Batman.
As for Maggie Gyllenhaal, she was definitely a better replacement for the wooden Katie Holmes, but I don't really think she suited the role. Also now seeing the finale of her character I would have preferred Holmes.
Now for the highlight of the film, Heath Ledger. His performance as the Joker was simply electrifying. Every word he said sent shivers done my spine. From his facial expressions, gestures and dialogue, he merely became the Joker. I will have to agree with a lot of reviews on here, Ledger definitely deserves an Oscar for this role. Now it's understandable that some might think of it as a sympathy vote, but if you've seen his performance in the film then there's nothing to argue there. He deserves the Oscar even if he was alive today. My favourite Joker scenes are when he crashes the party and tells Rachel about how he got his facial scars, The disappearing pencil trick (Who wouldn't love that scene?), and when he disguises himself as a nurse. The Joker sometimes reminded me of Tyler Durden from Fight Club, only more psychotic and with face paint.
Last but not least, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman were both respectively brilliant in their small but important roles in the film. Aaron Eckhart was also a nice addition to the cast and played Harvey Dent/ Two Face with ease.
So now to sum it all up, Christopher Nolan does it again folks. Full of non-stop action and great performances all round. I would go as far to say that I enjoyed it better than Batman Begins but hey, that's just me. The Dark Knight was a 2 and a half hour masterpiece which leaves you wanting more. Don't be left out and Believe the hype, go and see this at the theatres...NOW!

This has to be my favourite comedy of all time.
Kal Penn and John Cho done an awesome job playing the legendary Harold and Kumar. I never expected a simple plot like craving White Castle burgers would be this much fun!
Anywho, a burger-tastic movie overall. I recommend this to people who liked Dude, Where's my car.

One of the most coolest movies I've ever seen. Edward Norton is the most outstanding actor of his generation and is very underrated. He gives his best performance in any movie he does. He portrays the meek Aeron very well. For those of you who love a movie with a twist, this is a must-see.

The most fantastic plot line I have ever watched in a movie, it is superb. Ashton Kutcher has moved on from his 'boy next door' roles and has shown his serious acting capabilites in this chilling movie. The twist in the end always creeps me out. I love this so I gave it 5 stars.

Has to be one of the bests twists I've seen in any film. This should be regarded as a classic.

Magical. Beautiful. Mind-blowing.
Edward Norton does it again folks. He was just...amazing, kept me guessing the whole time. Paul Giamatti and Jessica Biel were awesome.
The movie basically revolves around a magician who wants his young love back from an enemy. It also includes the classic 'forbidden love' story between Norton and Biel, both had great chemistry IMO. The mirror and sword trick were my favourite scenes.
A brilliant movie overall. It has fantasy, mystery and romance all rolled into one, with a nice twist, that's how I like it!

Cursed
(2004, PG-13)
Christina Ricci and Jesse Eisenberg were great as Brother and Sister. Jimmy, played by Eisenberg was my favourite character. When he goes from being this loner to an extremely cool teen is my favourite part. The only down side to the movie was the werewolf transformation scene which was terrible. Other than that I can't get enough of it, I've watched it so many times.

A movie about a man with scissors for hands. No one could of played Edward better than Johnny Depp. Very touching and almost had me in tears at the end. 5 stars. Simply beautiful.

Fucked up. Disturbing. Real.
This movie is simply mind-blowing. This is one of Evan Rachel Woods best performances. Even though she and Nikki Reed don't look thirteen, they still do a great job.

Stunning, surreal and disturbing.
Amazing performances from all actors, though I must say Ellen Burstyn was outstanding in her role as the lonely widowed mother. She made me ball my eyes out, that's how good she was. Jared Leto and Jennifer Connely were superb too and it was great seeing Marlon Wayans in a serious role.
Requiem for a Dream really puts you into the characters perspective and shows you how bad drug addiction can be and the drastic effects that follow. Love the haunting soundtrack too - perfect.

This is the first Japanese movie I've seen and I loved it. The scenes with the elevator and the water dripping from the ceiling were really creepy, and that red bag was freaking me out! The atmosphere is scary, not like other horror films where they scare you with the sound. The actress was very nice, and the little girl was really cute. The ending is excellant and really makes you think.

Shibby!
Ashton Kutcher and Seann William Scott were both really funny here, but I liked Seann better. The scene where they make out with each other in the car is so funny. Also the scene with the transsexual stripper when Ashton says "Whoa! Dude, you're a dude!".
Basically a no brainer which is really entertaining. If you liked Harold & Kumar or Bill & Ted you're going to love this.

An edge-of-your-seat suspense thriller.
Rachel McAdams was great as the victim and Cillian Murphy as the villain. He acted brilliantly and looked really creepy, plus he put on a really good American accent. The thing I love about Wes Craven's films is that I can watch them over and over and not get bored.

A brillient sci-fi. I miss Schwarzenegger's movies.

Hugh Grant was incredibly funny, he's such a natural actor. I also can't believe how young Nicholas Hault was here.
My favourite scene has to be when Marcus throws the big loaf of bread on the duck, I couldn't stop laughing.

Hilarious movie about a boy who is a reject and opens his own college. Justin Long is like the boy next door. My favourite scene has to be when the fat dude screams like a girl. Hilarious.

This movie never gets old, that's because it's a classic. The movie revolves around a group of friends who want to lose their virginty by prom. Seann William Scott who plays Stifler is hilarious! Finch was cool and Jim's Dad is like the funniest Dad ever. My favourite scenes are Nadia and Jim in the bedroom and the Jim with the apple pie. And yes, the word MILF first originated from this movie. Overall, a great coming of age teen comedy.

Should have stayed as the last American Pie. Has some laughs, Seann William Scott is hilarious as usual. Not as good as the previous two though.

Adam Sandler is the king of funny.

Groovy Baby!
Mike Myers is extremely funny as Austin Powers. I also loved him as Dr. Evil. Beyonce was alright as Foxy but not memorable. The part with the mole was hilarious. So was the part where Austin and his father speak 'English, English' and also the peeing statue scene.
This has to be the funnist one yet.
