My Favorite Movies

One of my all time favourites. Love the story, love the direction, love the energy. Man's suppression of his animal nature is a topic I enjoy exploring and this movie hits all the right notes.

Can there be any doubt? Perhaps the greatest film of all time. An epic suitable for all ages, with timeless themes, unforgettable characters, and jaw-dropping scenes.

A classic fil featuring a stellar cast (McQueen, Garner, Attenborough, Pleasance, etc). An epic that blends comedy, drama, suspense and a little history to boot. For many in the cast, this is their finest work.

A dreamy sci-fi cop thriller that covers fascinating themes and landscapes. If you can, watch it with the narration the first time (good luck finding it, though).

CLASSIC! What movies should aspire to be. Soundtrack, performances, pace, all top notch. Scarred a generation for life.

Great action flick. A classic, really. I miss movies like this: great pace, great action, great lines, great music, original premise. Schwarzenegger is at his best with a great supporting cast. "Turn around...over here..."

One of the best movies of all time - for all ages, but particularly for kids. I cried both times I saw it in the theatres (original release and once a few years later). Anyone who knows what a heartless prick I am knows that means something. A must see.
