I am Mike. I spend my life watching movies, writing screenplays, and directing short films. Movies are a passion, for me, that no one really understands. When most people go see a movie, they see it for entertainment. Me, I go see a movie and wrap myself around the work and art that goes into it. Don't get me wrong though, I also go for entertainment.

Wedding Crashers
R
If it weren't for the five minutes of screen time Will Ferrell got in this film, this film would be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. But because of Ferrell, I found something to enjoy in it.
The Fountain
PG-13
Will someone please explain to me what this film is about? It didn't make a lick of sense.
The New World
PG-13
This was the first film I ever walked out of. It is so boring and it just idles through the story with ZERO excitement. Avoid this film.
Trick 'r Treat
Unrated
Aren't people getting tired of modern horror flicks. They aren't impressive. They just go through the motions and are very predictable. I won't be seeing this one.
Airplane!
PG
This, by far, is the funniest movie ever made. From is great slapstick elements to the witty remarks every actor makes, Airplane! can not keep you grounded with your sanity. It is a movie that will not keep you quiet.

The Usual Suspects
R
The Usual Suspects is one of the most staggering pieces of work to ever be put on screen. The ensemble cast is a genius one. From the eccentrics of Stephen Baldwin to the nonsense of Benicio Del Toro. From the intensity of Gabriel Byrne to the humanity of Kevin Spacey, this film is just one crime thriller you don't want to miss. The second its over you have to rewind to watch it again to catch everything that happens. This is one of the greatest film of all time and it has the greatest plot twist of all time to go along with it.

Gangs of New York
R
A movie of life, dispute, and patriotic extremists, Gangs of New York is an absolute joy to watch. Daniel Day-Lewis gives an unforgettable performance as Bill "The Butcher," a role in which he is a true-blooded American who despises the Irish immigrants. He was truly robbed of the Academy Award. This is also Martin Scorsese's dream movie. He had this idea and tried to make it for 30 years. It was worth the wait. This is my favorite film. There Will Be Blood
R
There Will Be Blood is a cinematically brilliant piece of work. It shows the gritty and twisted life an oil prospector named Daniel Plainview, who is played by Daniel Day-Lewis. He won his second Academy Award for this picture and rightfully so. He gives one of the most memorable performances by an actor since Marlon Brando in The Godfather. In conclusion, There Will Be Blood is an amazing piece of art. ACTING: 9/10 DIRECTION: 9.5/10 STORY: 10/10 VISUALS: 10/10 SCORE/MUSIC: 7/10 OVERALL RATING 9.1/10

i never really liked Keaton all that much. He was great as Beetlejuice, but as Batman he was kind of motionless. i'd say Kevin Conroy is the best Batman [he doesn't really count though as Batman. he only did the voice for him in the 1992 animated series.]

No matter what anybody says i will be seeing this movie and it will be good.
I seem to have more faith in first time directors and book wich is basically word for word the movie is awsome./posted 18 hours ago -
Gary Oldman was still good. Freeman and Caine weren't top notch. they were just "laggin" around. Bale really is losing his touch. the last movie i saw of his was Rescue Dawn and after that, i haven't seen any other good performances from him

i only wrote one page on it... and the movie is a big deal to me seeing how Heath Ledger was amazing in it. if it weren't for him, it wouldn't be my #3

i know we are...i only did it for TDK because i'm still raving about it and i'm trying to get my review "up to standards". i have so much to write, but i constantly avoid any chance i have of finishing it

i still have to take other elements of TDK into account before averaging them up. And it's not really supposed to be an accurate overall rating

he centers around dialog mostly and keeps things at ease in one room at a time. i can appreciate that. personbally i don't have a favorite director. Christopher Nolan may be listed as mine, but i feel Kubrick may very well be the best director of all time. You have to admit he's very creative

i can understand why it'd get a thumbs down. i like the movie, but i believe i already gave my input on Tarantino's...uh...."style"
