As Parker and Stone have admitted, what's good about this film is the stupidity of the idea--it's almost a non-idea, and the "psyche-outs" are the least funny parts. The stars are well served by the Zuckerness of the enterprise.

This movie is idiotic trash, so I'm surprised that I didn't love it, since Lynch fills it with what my stupid generation would call "random" characters and situations. No double standards for Lynch--he likes to exploit grotesques. I think he likes rape too.

A Bruce Baillie collage film whose superimposed imagery and overlapping themes produce a resonant criticism of American society, one whose potency could never be matched by a traditional narrative film.
