In addition, I will deny your request if you are very young or we have no movies in common. For instance, I will not add you as a friend if you're a 13 year old girl who lives in Australia and who's favorite movie is High School Musical. :P (Unless we're friends in real life). I will also deny your request if your profile is empty, you haven't taken the Movie Compatibility test and you have no ratings or reviews. Also, if you have comments from girls on your profile asking "who are you?". I do like making friends who have similar interests to me, and who like a lot of the same movies. I hope I haven't scared you away! :) |

Ricochet

An entertaining movie, but I wouldn't watch again. The plot was so cliched and totally done before. Loved Denzel Washington, John Lithgow, Ice-T and Kevin Pollak though, they were very good and did their best with the plot. Some scenes were totally unbelievable, and I was going 'wtf' at the screen.
The Tao of Steve
R
A very cute, romantic comedy about a man who fancies himself a casanova, but finally meets a woman who can see through all his tricks and lies to who he really is underneath. All the characters are great in this movie, loved the soundtrack as well and thought this was very clever and well-written.
Underworld

A pretty good vampire./werewolf story, with an interesting plot. I found the characters a little thin, there were none I really felt for or sympathised with. Also I found it confusing at times when it deviated from standard vampire mythology and it didn't explain properly. Action scenes were very well done, but sometimes there was too much going on, you didn't have a firm grasp of what was happening.
The Thing

Very interesting and cool alien movie, I loved the acting and thought the story was very well-done. Special effects were top-notch and very realistic! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I'm still trying to figure out the ending, I think it could do with multiple viewings. :)
Jacob's Ladder

Oh wow, what an amazing movie! One of Tim Robbins best movies, and the acting of everyone was top-notch. I loved Danny Aiello and McCauley Culkin's roles, they didn't have a lot of scenes but they were very good. I loved the scene where Tim Robbins is on the gurney, one of the best depictions of hell I've ever seen. The story was excellent, it kept me guessing until the end, in fact I'm still trying to figure out what happened! Definitely a great horror/suspense/mystery movie, I'd recommend it to everyone.
The Midnight Meat Train
R
Very cool adaptation of Clive Barker's short story, full of mystery and suspense and horror. Some scenes were very graphic in detail. Story was interesting, and the acting was great. A little predictable in spots, and I didn't even remember the storyline from the story very much.

I could watch this movie over and over, and in fact I have. My bf leaves the room in disgust whenever it comes on, as he's sick of watching it.

Schindler's List

Liam Neeson's best performance. I just love the interaction between him and Ben Kingsley in this movie. I also love the little flashes of colour, in an otherwise black and white movie.

Such a beautiful movie, with great performances. I thought it was better than the book.

Stephen King's The Stand

Very good adaption of one of Stephen King's longest novels. Doing it as a miniseries meant they could keep a lot more of the material in the movie, which is wonderful. There's a whole bunch of well known actors in here, and they all do a great job. Jamey Sheridan especially does a great job as Randall Flagg, one of King's best villains ever.
