Without a single riot scene or horrific effect, it tells a slow, gentle story of camaraderie and growth, with an ending that abruptly finds poetic justice in what has come before.
This movie is in my top 3 movies of all time, an epic movie telling the tale of 7 brave samurai who join forces to fight for the freedom of a small village.
Barely watched the cartoon as a kid so I wasn't really looking forward to it but as Michael bay was directing and Megan Fox is hot I decided to give it a shot, I was quite surprised with the great humor it had till mid of the movie and when the whole action scenes started, it just got a whole lot better :)
Answers aren't simply handed out, rather the viewer is left to draw many conclusions instead and thats something I liked, each can interpret their own message and mine was about destiny.
If the movie has a flaw, it's that it comes at you like a raging bull. It doesn't so much engage the viewer as assault him. ''Scarface'' is as voracious and unyielding a production as Tony Montana himself. Nothing is left to the viewer's imagination and that's not always bad :as seen in this case.
"I Think I have something in my eye...", Nicholas Sparks is a great author, I dislike most boy meets girl type movies but this was truly beautiful, wonderful acting, brilliant plot (few cliches) and one roller coaster of emotions from joy to sadness :)
One of thew few magical films I have had the honor of watching, like any art it's not everybody's cup of tea...must been seen a few times to be understood completely, exquisite acting, love the melody...it has a soulful and romantic interpretation of desperation and peace which is what touched me.
One of those movies where you either love it or hate it, I found the main character annoying in his childish, needy behavior yet could relate to many other of his fantasies/emotions...not usually a fan of the artistic type effects they used but I felt it gave it that special touch in this movie.
I read the book when I was young and it was one of those books that changed my perspective on things, the movie wasn't what I expected but then again it never is after reading the book, beautifully shot I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This movie is made for people that have grown up with a strong imagination, what a beautiful and sweet film, I truly loved it! :)....the ending was a bit sad but the story is magical and it brought back so many memories of when I use to have those fantasies as kid, only I never had a cool playmate like that :(
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a different quirky film dealing with different aspects of life and a diverse amount of interesting personalities (even the skanky teens...could of passed without them) with a humorous touch to it.
Sometimes predictable and dragged on but looking at it through the right eyes you will see a beautiful (yet simple) peace of cinematography the same way they could see Neverland :)
Coming from a Latin background and having experienced some of those obstacles myself I found this movie very heart warming, beautiful and all around great.
This movie is way underrated, I rather dislike most musicals but this one passed my expectations and had a lovely message (even penguins get discriminated for being different) :).
One of the most underrated movies I've watched in a while, has some of the best special effects in cinematography I've seen, beautiful shots & lighting, heart warming plot and talented actors (except the girl who I thought was a boy).
Most modern mystery flicks try so hard to have twist and turns and just end up with an over kill, this one doesn't and keeps you in suspense till the end...
When Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Audrey Tautou do a movie together...I'll always watch it, Audrey Tautou with her beautiful personality and amazing acting skills and Jeunet's directing in this film is a combination of Chaplin (the romance and comedy); Hitchcock (the incredible camera work, mystery and storytelling) and Spielberg (the battle scenes and emotion)...I'd give it 5 stars but it had too much sex in it :S guess you cant expect less from a French film.
Simply astonishing film...one of my all time favorites, my time spent in India really made me appreciate this that much more, a coming of age story, adventure, love, humor, beautiful cinematography with amazing acting and plot..superb!
One of the great french films of it's time...very personal yet simple plot movie which may bore some people as it only shows deep complex human emotions...it's one of the the best beautiful music + simple visual story in the french cinema history that only a sensible few music lovers will appreciate.I want to see the other 2 films (Rouge and Bialy) in the same trilogy.
An insane type of love, not sure if I like Quirky Audrey as Amelie or Crazy Audrey as Angélique better but either way she always has that beautiful strange personality to her.
BEAUTIFUL love story...I know it's similar to other movies in the past but this one was extra special for some reason...it's so relatable! and the ending was just perfect.
Best love story/horror movie I've seen in a while, and quite unique too, one of few films that I've experienced were heart warming yet kinda creepy at the same time if you watch it with the original voices and not the dubbed version like some have.
Screwed up, Twisted, Gross, Disturbing and never ending thrills...a movie that can get all those emotions out of me deserves a good rating but some parts were just nihlistic.
Fantastic Japanese flick, one of the better ones I've seen in recent years though the actors might not have done the best job acting, the plot, soundtracks and development was quite original.
Jesus Christ!...this movie is one of the most disturbingly shocking and nauseating films I've ever seen in my life, the amount of gore...the poor pregnant woman, arghhh, makes me not want to have kids for a very long time.
I dont know why it has such low reviews, I found it adventurous, fun and imaginative, love Jodie Fosters nervous role and Abigail is just adorable, I want an island like that for me now.
Fantastic!, adventurous, creative, fun, amazing visuals, exciting, dark at times but light hearted, it has everything =), definitely my favorite movie of the year.
Audrey Hepburn will always be the most beautiful actress in my eyes, shes stunning in this movie and so sweet, the movie is very simple but I think thats what makes it so great and the Roman setting as the background in black and white makes it perfect.
Pixar just keeps getting better and better, this one has a lot of heart with some sad moments (I just loved how cute the old couple were and the adventures the had) but also funny ones too =).
Never was a fan of German films because many seemed rather cold for my taste but this one had something special about it, the length a boy will go to for the love of his mom and his beliefs....sweet and educational.
